is it me or does this season have the same feel as last year.
we start the season shooting ourselves in the foot in just about every game. our defense keeps us in every game occasionally giving up the big play that makes it impossible for the offense to overcome the additional point pressure.
our new offensive coordinator starts the season thinking he's the reincarnation of Mike Martz only to slowly realize he doesnt have the players who can play his scheme. slowly he starts to adjust and tailor his game plans to fit our personnell. the gadget plays become fewer and our offense becomes more basic and we start to move the ball more effectively thanks in part to the improved play of the offensive line made up of no names who under the tutelage of houck start the season playing abysmal and then slowly learn to work with each other. we still lose but we come closer as the season starts to slip away
now last year we went on a winning streak towards the end of the season. i dont think we're ripping off 6 wins in a row but i am getting the feeling we're going to start to win our fair share of games. not sure that's good for us long term (those draft picks sure would be nice) but i am feeling more confident that the mistakes are going to disappear and the wins are going to start coming
then again i might have just lost my mind
