One of my favorite stats regarding Jake Scott is the guy has started in 121 games of 124 games he has been a part of. If signed he is an immediate starter at RG. Has played for the Colts & Titans. Scott was Pro Football Focus' 7th ranked OG in 2011. Signing Scott would allow Miami to let Murtha, Jerry, Hicks battle it out for the RT spot.
 
It would be great to have a second guy named Jake Scott play for the Phins.
 
Only thing on the o-line you would need is maaaybe a right tackle and maybe a LG,but with long,incog,pouncey,Scott and murtha/jerry? I would take that! I just hope Jeff can close the deal
 
The only thing that sucks is he's only coming here for the money, if he doesn't get the money he wants(which he probably wont) then he's just going to leave and either get money from another bad team or go to a winning team for less money. Then people would get happy we didn't overpay him, but it just sucks that we can't get any players at bargain price because of it.
 
The Dolphins had not made an offer as of Saturday afternoon, but that could change shortly. "We're interested and they're interested," said Scott's agent, Ken Staninger.
The Dolphins have considered adding another lineman to start at right guard or to compete with John Jerry, Nate Garner and possibly Artis Hicks at the position. Hicks also might compete with Lydon Murtha to start at right tackle.

Can someone explain why everyone is so high on Murtha? I've seen nothing from him to show me that he is starter material at RT. Jerry played well when he got time last year

As much as i would like to see vernon carey back, jake scott is a solid player.
