Here's a list of all OL. Keep in mind, we obviously have no qualms about switching positions on players.

-TJ Lang is the best guard left, but seems to be linked to everyone but us.
-Chris Chester? was solid for Atlanta I believe, old, but better than nothing.
-Mangold at guard has been thrown around. Isn't he on the decline? Could be a backup center as well
-Austin Pasztor? Listed as a T, but could he shift inside? Still young at least. Gives option for a swing tackle as well
-Kelvin Beachem? I honestly don't know how he played for the Jags last year, but would he be open to a switch? Swing tackle possibility

-DJ Fluker? Seen his name mentioned here, but I would not like that move.
-Jahri Evans? Another dinosaur, probably little to nothing left in the tank
-Jake Long? Swing tackle, not so much guard probably but thought I'd throw it on here for the lols
-Bushrod? Last resort, but would like as depth.
-Ryan Wendell? Thought he was on the decline, idk?

I see they still have the Jag's guard Omameh / Lion's guard Reynold on there, but I think they resigned them. They may have been decent low cost additions

I haven't read anything about Mangold playing guard. Have you heard that that is even an option at this stage in his career?

unless its TJ Lang, I doubt we go for anyone else on this list. Larsen has been signed, and he should be a starter. The other side, Im guessing will be a rookie. Forrest Lamp in the 1st?

Wow....Looking at that list it's hard to imagine that so many good guards were signed already...and for a whole lot more than I thought. I guess we must try to get one or two from that list before they all sign somewhere else.

The way the OG market has gone I won't be surprised if TJ Lang signs for something close to 10 millions per year. So even though I would love having him here, I don't think that's going to happen.

I hope not. I wouldn't address OL until the 3rd. 1st and 2nd rd has to be impact player on defense. Have to increase overall speed on the defense.
I love the player and wish we had the luxury to draft an OG of his caliber, but not with what I saw out of this defense last season.

I would go with Lang first if he is healthy enough to play this year, then Mangold at center and move Pouncey to guard or lastly go after Beachum and hope he isn't a Beach Bum. lol

just the blurb that teams had asked if he would be open to it (dont think he was)

And that is just lunacy. We cant just bring in a career depth player and assume he can be a solid starter AND THEN to rely totally on a rookie too. and which has been mentioned, we need plenty of help still on defense. I'm not opposed to drafting offensive linemen but i dont know man... I'd be in a much better place right now had we signed a guard with the money for Branch, and still acquired Hayes

Agreed, supposedly he is close to a deal with Seattle. He will be paid well, so I assume its down to the rest.

I doubt Mangold would move from C, so Lang is the only decent option left on that list. Since there's been no talks about going after him, I'm afraid they aren't going to spend any $$ on guards and maybe address via the draft (but as we know, that's a huge gamble).

Is Jake Long really so deteriorated that he can't even show up for spot duty? He would be an awesome addition to the room if they could use him in a backup role.

You'd have to think that after you're starting QB was lost for the season because of a bad hit, QB protection would be somewhat of a priority in FA. As of right now, we have signed a WR, traded for a TE, signed another TE, signed and traded for 2 DEs, and signed a MLB...We did sign a backup guard thoug...

And according to the local media (Armando) has said that the Phin's won't target an OG with their first 2 picks.. So that has me worried since all the decent OG are going fast in free agency.

It's like Philbin and Ireland are still running the god damn show
