Guess I wasnt overreacting after all

After the game I posted rather hastily that I thought Renaldo Hill should get the axe for letting his man go and catching that prayer. This post was met with all kinds of "get real" and "cut him after one game?". Well Renaldo survived for now but was it an overreaction by me? No. Just ask Boomer Grigsby what happens when you dont perform on Sundays...unemployment. This is Bill Parcells way people. These fringe guys better stay on their toes or theyre out the door. Seems now Sean Ryan has met the same fate. Im unsure whether its performance related or they just needed a roster spot but my point is too all that thought it was illogical a guy could be cut after one game..think again. Bill is not messing around.:woot:

exactly. he's not a fringe FB or TE who has never contributed at in the NFL. I thought it was common knowledge that we would be attempting to upgrade at FB at the first possible chance. Those two were in jeopardy of losing their jobs even if they played flawlessly.
 
Hill is our second best safety in my book. He's not even much worse than Bell and there were times when both of them were starting and Hill was the more consistent player.

coming off this injury and playing the way he did last year..
just no.
im tired of seeing him get beat on the same plays every year

I didn't see your thread(or post,) but if we're going to cut Renaldo Hill, we'd darn well better cut Andre Goodman too. He looked awful.

In reality we can't cut either of these guys because there's no one to replace them and unless these guys play better our secondary is going to get eaten alive all year.
