i think a good place to start in trying to figure out the schedule and what weeks are home/away is by looking at the marlins schedule...

I was just gunna say the same thing :cooldude:

Marlins in Sep and Oct:

Sun Sep 10 - at home
Sun Sep 17 - away
Sun Sep 24 - away
Sun Oct 1 - at home

For Mondays

Mon Sep 11 - at home
Mon Sep 18 - away
Mon Sep 25 - no game scheduled

Also:

Thursday, Sep 7 the Marlins are at home. Couple that with Sunday and Monday being at home, it is GUARANTEED the Dolphins start the season away from home.

The first month could look like this:

Sunday Sept 10 Away
Sunday Sept 17 Home
Sunday Sept 24 Home
Sunday Oct 1 Away

Throw in a MNF game in there, and that's what you get.

I don't see the NFL scheduling a Sunday Night game with the Marlins playing earlier in the day at home

Nice information. The off-season brings out the best in my fellow finheaveners.

Here is my take on the schedule.

WEEK ONE: @ Pittsburgh (Thursday Opener)
WEEK TWO: Buffalo
WEEK THREE: Green Bay
WEEK FOUR: @ New York Jets
WEEK FIVE: @ Indy
Bye
WEEK SIX: New England (Mon Night)
WEEK SEVEN: @ Houston
WEEK NINE: Jax
WEEK TEN: @ Buffalo
WEEK ELEVEN: Kansas City
WEEK TWELVE: @ Detriot(Thanksgiving)
WEEK THIRTEEN: @ Chicago (Monday Night)
WEEK FOURTEEN: Minn
WEEK FIFTHTEEN: Tennessee
WEEK SIXTEEN: @ New England
WEEK SEVENTEEN: NY Jets

Unless we have a MNF or Thursday game, it looks like we'll be opening the season on the road this year :(

Im not saying this isnt possible, but I'd hate Week 4-13.

6 away games, 3 at home, and a bye
Especially Week 7-13 with 4 away game and 2 home

I hope you arent right

i think i read something that new orleans would be opening up on thursday night game. and i believe pittsburgh is on their 06 schedule. so in all likleyhood the first game will be the saints @ steelers.

saints @ steelers

Thanks for the info but man thats a poor opener isnt it. If the steelers win the SB i could see us playing them on Thursday.

well if the saints draft matt leinart, at least that'll be something to hype up for the opener. it'll be quite a test for him, too.

does anyone know when nfl tickets go on sale?????? PM me cuz im going to go to the finz steelers game need the tix.

I can't argue, but wouldn't the Bills coming in early Sept. to face the heat mean they give us @Bills later on in Nov. or Dec.? Don't they usually do that? So, either that game moves back (but were we already given dates and just guessin home away?), or flip the home away with Bills. Unless of course that conflicts with the Marlins.

This funny......You guys have me laughing.

I did like the post about the Marlins home schedule. Nice....

Keep it coming...

Does anyone know how the NFL decides when teams have a BYE week....is it totally random or do you get a later bye if you had an early bye the previous season? I think it is a big advantageget a bye later on as you can rest up and re-cooperate later in the season.....hopefully we won't get a week 3 or week 4 bye or sooner.
