We still have all our pick for next year...how refreshing! We probably have a franchise RB and our D has had a major youth injection. Would anyone be surprised to see us draft a QB with the first selection in next years draft? I wouldn't.I think with all the one year signings, we will be in major cap heaven come next year. And I would not be surprised to see JT and ZT gone! I think Saban would listen to offers next year if they came his way for JT. I love both players and would love for them to retire here, but I don't think they will last in Saban long term plans. We won't look like JJ/Wanny fins in two years. We will be big fast and mean on D and the model of consistency on O. I really think we have a chance to be something special under Saban. The more we look at this past draft the more you can see Saban and staff have been hard at work. We only had 6 picks yet we are considered by some as to have had one of the best drafts. The legend begins.

Is Roth estimating the size of his BALLS in that pic :).

We actually have 8 picks in 7 rounds because we picked up a 2006 7th from Green Bay on a conditional trade from last season.

I would like to see us get more picks, if we could.

Either that, or he's tellin a fish story!! I would like to believe someone just asked him, "how bad do you want to be a Fin and play for Saban"?
This could be fun, heres one. how bout....How bad do you want to hit JP Losman?

What trade??

"what are the chances you think tom brady smokes sausages?"

areas we will probably look to draft in the first round next year are LT, QB, WR or the top defensive player.

If AJ proves himself, like I think he will, then we wont need a QB. I honestly dont see a real pro bowl type of prospect at LT on our roster. I think Saban will always look to add a top D player when he can. As for WR, Chambers is great, but we have nothing special behind him imo unless boston* or booker steps up this year.

It is nice knowing we have a 1st round pick along with all of our other picks.

as for JT and ZT, in any coaching turnover, you want to keep the top players left over from the last coaching staff. I dont think we are in any hurry to move either pro bowl player. Especially JT, you dont trade away a 15 sack a year guy.

*have to bring him back in first

No I think it was the size of his dong hahaha........

but ya about the thread, I agree with you about Saban, he's the man! I can see us with a Super Bowl within the next 5 years.......hopefully sooner!

But about our first selection for next year, I dont think anyone could even have an idea about who we would get because college players go up and down all the time and it depends where we finish to see what pick we'll have and we will also have to see what the team needs next year.

"How many snot bubblers are you planning on dishing out this year??"

If a quarterback represents value at our pick, wherever that pick may lie, then I'm sure Nick Saban will consider it.

I will not be surprised to see the defense getting addressed once again though. We've got a lot of young, unproven talent on the offensive side of the ball, but our defense is aging. I can see Nick Saban getting a good cornerback, a big safety, or a big two gap defensive tackle with a high draft pick next season. I really think two prospects that Dolphins fans should keep an eye on are two Tennessee prospects. Jason Allen is a 6'0", 200 lbs defensive back that has the versatility to play cornerback and safety. The early reports on him this year were that had he declared, he probably would have been a late first to early second round pick. The other prospect is Jesse Mahelona, a 6'2", 300 lbs two gap defensive tackle. He's a big thick guy who I believe weighs more than his listed 300 lbs, and he has a mean streak to him.
