Gurode officially cut by Cowboys

Apperantley he was held out of this last pre-season game due to a "business decision". Not sure what that meant.
 
either they were tryin to trade him thus they held him out or they told him to restructure he said no and they didn't want him to take a chance on getting hurt and having to eat that full cap #
 
If after seemingly by reflex reaction, snarfing up Cowboy slugs like McQuistan, Carpenter and Columbo.. Ireland drops the ball on this.. especially after Sat nite...it would strongly suggest he's suffering from a serious case of Dyslexia.

The claiming period in the offseason lasts for just 24 hours. If two or more teams claim a player, the team (CAR is 1st) with the higher priority in the waiver system gets the player. Players with four or more seasons of league experience immediately become free agents if released from a team during the offseason. Miami is 14th in waiver order.
 
so basically we are screwed out of signing this guy, if he's as good as everyone says then multiple claims should get put in.

I believe the above post states that veterans of 4 or more years automatically become FAs. So we aren't screwed in that scenario.
 
Gurode and ohara need to be on this team these were once two of the best centers in the nfl
We have a young promising center that can learn so much from these 2

With the rt spot open for Carey/murtha/colombo best man takes it
 
I live in Dallas and Gurode is considered by many to be the most overrated player on the team. He was getting blasted locally for having a bad year in 2010 and somehow was voted to the pro bowl despite leading all centers in fumbled snaps. There were whispers all camp that Costa was outplaying him and would win the starting job. For those that want him at G, he struggled at that position and only excelled when he was moved to Center. The guy is damaged goods and hasn't been able to bend his knees properly since the injury. I'd rather pickup O'Hara or Waters.

And giving us some insight from the local media. He might still be an upgrade over the garbage we are starting on the right side of our line. We should bring him in for a look see..
