Has a good defense with the Chargers. What he did Saturday was just brilliant. Has head coaching experience, although not good, but neither were several coaches first time. No one is considering him.

He was given plenty of time in Jacksonville. The probability of a failed HC succeeding the 2nd time around is small vs those who continued to fail like Kotite or Rex. Certainly some succeed but the odds are against that happening and this hurting franchise really cant afford to shoot craps on former failures. Some ex HCs like Allen and Bradley could well have Peter Principled out at the Coordinator level.

I'm not being racist but I don't think he's a good HC. Some people are just better coordinators and he is one of those people.

Gus was not a good head coach. Gus is a really good defensive coordinator, but did very poorly in his first stint as a head coach. Like, really poorly.

The one mitigating factor I will give Gus is that he had to start Blake Bortles, one of those rare quarterbacks that I consider to be untenable. That is, he's so bad that you simply can't win with him because he doesn't present a credible passing threat to the defense.

So while I guess I would be open-minded if Gus Bradley were to be our next head coach, my expectations would be VERY low. Maybe he would do better with a quarterback who isn't a cash grabbing alcoholic. But then again, maybe Gus is the right guy for 2019 if we want to tank.
