We need a QB badly and Gus is not the answer. I was all for Gus since he knew the system. More than half of his throws were behind his receivers. In the last five games, his throwing percentage is just pathetic at 66,46,42,63 and 48. I know a lot of people don't want to here it, but Feeley put up betters numbers last year with a worse o-line. It's come time that Saban needs to swallow his pride and start giving AJ some starting reps in practice. It's all about turnovers and Gus is turning the ball over.
 
Gus is a backup, plain and simple. He's been in the league for to long to be a bust!
 
woow ur 31 and u do not know bout football!!!!! The guy plays his heart out and is better than wat we have and u say he is a bust, why don't you put a uni and play qb
 
Let's see what Gus does at home next week. If he doesn't play well again, and at home, then I am sure there will be more talk about giving Sage or Feeley a shot.
 
The guy who said Gus is a backup has it exactly right. It isn't Gus's fault that he's the best QB on the roster or that he's getting the starts that should ideally go to somebody more talented than he is. He's Jay with a stronger arm but less mobility.
 
how do you call someone a bust when they had no expectations to begin with among the overwhelming % of the Miami fan base or the press? In order to be a bust you have to have expectations.

Gus is doing what I and many others figured he would do...lend stability to the position, display leadership while being limited in his ability. He doesnt complain, he takes responsibility, and tries his best. At the very least hes a consomate pro even if he isnt a long term solution.
 
i agree but Sage is second on the depth chart and he actually has heart. he will get a chance before AJ. AJ just stands on the sidelines and sulks all game looking like he'd rather be somewhere else. that combined with the fact that he sucks too is why he is third on the depth chart. remember though, after the fourth preseason game the majority of the people on here where on Feeleys bandwagon but because he played so terrible in the final preseason game when he looked absolutly terrible, he fell of the map and lost what little confidence he might have had.
 
Sound like you are in love with him, I agree he sucked big time today - what is it that you liked about his 5 of 15 fo 39 yard in the first half- those are shameful numbers.

Sims beat him today as far as throwing, his passes were overthrown and behind receivers. He is the reason we lost, period
 
I think weve become one of those teams that plays awsome at home and poo on the road..

that's not true. many on these boards believed that he would lead us to a .500 record or even the playoffs. almost 95% opercent of the people on this site felt or still feel that he's better than feeley. AJ went 3-5 which translates to 6 wins with an even worse offensive line, no running backs and wannstedt and bates as coaches. i say gus would have to improve on that number to 7-9 just to say he's as good as feeley. Can you honestly say we're heading for a 7-9 season with Gus as our QB?

As bad as feeley looks at times, when he's on he blows gus out of the water
 
95% my rear. There were a few who believed he could get us a 6th spot in the playoffs.

And as far as the teams "win pace" that varies horrifically. Just before the bye week we were "on pace" for 10 wins since we had a 2-1 record at that point. Pace is way too fickle to use in a season when its only 16 games long cause 1-2 bad or good games throws it off entirely.

Feeley blows. You need to just let go of that already.
