Gus has played solid in the last two games he's started. I'm fine with him staying with us next year as long as he's only brought in to compete with and mentor our rookie QB.
They both suck. And I will give Gus his credit he played ok today. Still not great but he did ok. And I still hope Gus isn't here next year. He is just what he is a backup. He won a game today that he probably should n't have. So luck and ok play was on our side for once.
cmon guys , he played fine , last game also ,not everything is his fault , he can be a very solid backup and mentor , maybe he will start next year until a young QB develops .
well hey... at least hes not like AJ!
I saw him at the Chargers Redskins today and I just wanted to go buy a bud light bottle just to throw at the back of his head... I am thankful every day hes out of miami
Does anyone else notice that when we get solid Qb play we win most of the time? Strange coincidence. Something tells me we really do need some talent at the position to win games consistantly.
Jay Fiedler would have thrown a couple TD's by now (the ones that get run back as INT's for TD's ). No thanks, I would still take Gus over Ears anyday.
I can understand the Chambers bashing, but I don't get the Gus bashers.
He played well & we won the game. He is MUCH better than Fiedler was. It's not always his fault when we lose. He doesn't throw int's for 7 points.
Fielder could never throw for as many yards a game as Gus has been throwing for. Gus reads defenses much better. He doesn't decide where he is going to throw the ball regardless of the defense.
The reality is that most teams in the NFL don't have great QB's, there are only a handfull of great quarerbacks nowadays. Obviously Gus isn't one of them, but there are plenty of teams with worse qb's...
