I was just looking at the depth chart on the dolphins website and it says
Gus Frerotte/A.J. Feeley for the first string QB. When the depth chart first came out it was A.J. Feeley/ Gus Frerotte. Am I reading into this to much or is Gus first in Saban's book and he doesn't want to create chaos.

I think you are looking to much into it. But I suppose it could mean something...
 
Its because Saban said that the QBs are going to rotate in the preseason and Gus gets the start this week.
 
I think all it means is gus is slated to start against the jags:)
 
Its a rotation that was probably determined before the HOF game.We wont know who will start the season until the final two games of the exhibition season.

If Gus plays well again then i think Feely could be in trouble..But then again there would be 3 more games for him 2 catch up......
 
I think if Gus clearly out plays Feeley this week(jags), Saban will declare him the starter and give him the most reps from here on out. If Feeley plays well and doesn't bruise his tushy then it is still probably up in the air...
 
After looking at the depth chart, some guys have been moved up like Ricky and Morris. But about Feeley, he better learn to step up when the blitz is coming, if he wants to start this year.

I believe the plan was that Feeley would start the HOF game and Gus would start the second game regardless of how they did. I think they mentioned that one the HOF telecast or I heard it somewhere else. That might be it. I am hoping for Feeley, but I think Gus might be ahead now anyway. It's still close and we will see.

That's a good point. He kind of just stays there and crumbles at times. Experience. If he ever gets to the point where he can at least manage a game and get a season or 2 under his belt, he could become a good QB before he gets old.

That's my guess as well, but when asked about the order before the Bears game, Saban said it was alphabetical.
