....because he has a great supporting cast. He can get the ball to the playmakers and keep it away from the defense. If our O-line is improved over last year even marginally it will make a big difference. Gus will hit some big plays to Chambers and Boston. Booker will have the most catches of the WRs. Welker will even contribute from the slot. Those long passes Gus was missing a few weeks ago - he will be hitting some of them. We WILL attack Denver both in the air and on the ground. Don't look for conservative ANYTHING. For the first time in a VERY VERY long time, we have a team that WANTS TO GO TO WAR for their coach. And they will be determined to win each battle and ultimately win the war. Look for a few typical end-arounds and few other plays of trickery. But for the most part, Miami will take it right at them. We will be balanced and aggressive. We will take several shots down field. Keep your eyes open for one of the prettiest long TD passes you've seen in a long time.
I predict that Gus will go over 300 with 2 TDs. R.Brown will run one in. Brown will have a very good day, gaining around 125 yards of total offense.and will be at least effective enough to keep Denver off balance and respecting the run. Ironically, our passing game will be what wins this game. I'm going with 27-13. Our defense is going to be MUCH better than any of us have anticipated. We're going to see some awesome tricks. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that we will lead the league with the best turnover ratio.

Now...SHOOT!

whoa there fella!

i don't know about all that. i want us to succeed as much as the next guy, but lets be realistic. I'll be happy if Gus stays positive in TD-to-INT ratio. I predict Gus gets around 250 yards (assuming we are playing from behind most of the game, and have to pass a lot), and maybe 1 TD and 1 INT. if he throws 2 TDs i'd be very impressed. after all, he only threw one TD all preseason. don't forget that. He also threw for slightly over 300 yards ALL preseason.

to predict all that in one game is pretty heavy. hope you brought your flamesuit.

The offense is less than vanilla during preseason. I think we will all be surprised by how well we do when we open it up. There will be a huge difference Sunday

LOL ... I wouldnt be surprised. I mean everyone knew when Gus got here .. he was going to be our starting QB whether we wanted to admit it or not. So I really dont feel that he was ever competing for the job. Now the games count. No more need to play safe, time to open it up and show the league what we can do.

Then again I could be completely wrong .. but I got a feeling we are going to come away with not just a victory on Sunday but an impressive one.

I totally agree...we will win impressively....decisively.

lets forget all the preseason stuff, the vanilla on offense and defense is over, heck look at the colts they were 0-5 and manning wasn´t really great, i think that frerotte could have 250 yards and 2 TD`s and it wouldn´t surprise me with the playmakers we have on offense

I'll wait till Sunday to see what happens, but I like that the little pisser will piss all over a new team each week. funny.

Gus will have lots of fun during this game, but 1st quarter will be hard as rock.
A "brujo" of Catemaco told me about it.

Let's be realistic, this isn't a home game with lots of factors to win.
I'll dream and think the best, so this is how i see some winning factors:
a) Us. No matter how our team will have a sell out with screaming dolfans everywhere.
b) Gus wants to win titularity.
c) Every piece of our offensive system is new to this scheme but Gus, so he'll lead our team and he'll handle easily.
d) Those who fears Denver running power will be surprised because the hell of defense JT will show, it won't be great news to me to know that JT sacked 6+ times their QBs, because of the rest of talent in our DL.
e) Ronnie will carry the ball without fears and make a new mark in running yards in a single game.

Man I sure hope you're right.I can't tell you what a big win opening day could do for our Phins(not to mention our fans).

Wouldnt you think, that if the offense was overly vanilla, he would have had a higher passing completion percentage? I cant forsee Gus turning into an all-pro overnight after not scoring a single TD in the preseason (I dont count the fluke TD in the Bears game)

yeah im sure none of you want to hear my take but dude no the man doesnt have any team chemistry from what im hearing his timing is off with the recievers and your o-line hasnt realy improved you dont realy have a threat at te

your o-line wont have what it takes to stand up against the broncos d-line it was pushing the colts line around all over the place and no need to say they are far superior to the dolphins the linebackers shouldnt have much of a problem shutting down brown some one said brown was bigger than all of our linebackers i checked it out not true at all but anyway champ should play like a champ lynch should take atleast one person completely off their feet and since that qb of yours likes to throw high im thinking lenny walls being 6'4" he might have a pick especialy if we do take the lead early with you guys throwing alot

he'll have the same supporting cast all season, so what you mean is that he'll have a Big Season right ?

No threat at TE? Our TE is better than all your TE's combined. I think you mean the Browncos defensive line. Our O-Line will have no problem with them. Last time I checked, how a team performed in the preseason didn't matter when the regular season started.
