But Marino can't claim his "surroundings" were against him. He had MORE talent than Elway had to work with, a better head coach BY FAR, and a terriffic system perfectly suited for his talents.

We had Sammy Winder, Gerald Willhite, Steve Sewell, Clarence Kay, Vance Johnson, Mark Jackson...all journeyman mediocre talent guys. Marino had more tools to work with and accomplished less, regardless of what his stats say.

Name me one decent running back or one great defensive player Dan had when he was in his prime.

The Dolphins would have been one of the worst teams in the NFL if not for the right arm of one, Dan Marino.

But when you do a double bet like that, what happens if the Dolphins and the Bills start 1-0? Because that's what I think will happen.

Anything other than 0-1 fins and 1-0 bills you win.

Come up with some terms and I'm all for it.

How about, we bet avatars for 1 week starting the moment I win or you lose. AND, we must post our average daily posts for that week.If you win, you get to choose my avatar and if I win I get to choose your avatar for that week. Sound O.K. to you?
 
Its not right, but many people place too much on QBs winning the big one. I believe many thought Steve Young would not have been elected if he didn't win that Super Bowl. Marino isn't rated highly by some because he never won the big one.
Elway could always try and make something happen, while Marino didn't have that mobility. Its too tough to argue who is the greatest. They both are the greatest.

Haha, let's go easy on it for the first bet of the season.

How about if I'm right you two have to have bills avatars and sigs for a week. You must also create a thread saying what you thought of the loss and the bills win and explain your avatar and sig in humiliating fashion.

Same goes for me if you guys are right.
