First I would say it appears our wide receivers could not get open very well which really started many of the other issues.
Second Ronnie Brown was not hitting the ball with any authority unlike Rickey Williams.
Both of the above led at least to a bit of the 3rd observation that
third with our passing game shut down our Offensive Tackles looked very ordinary. They certainly did not look like you would like for 2 first round picks. Still Chad did hold the ball too long at times which goes back to issue #1.
Yes we had turnovers but I really believe it started with issue #1 and bled down to the rest of the offense.
Yes we bottled up Turner but our pass defense was shaky at times. Though over all it appeared the defense did its job most of the day.

Opps special teams are still killing us. Ginn is not a KR he should have knelled in the end zone each time he just does not hit the holes hard enough and is too histant when he does.

The kick returns is 100% the fault of the blocking, not Ginn. They put Cobbs in there and he was immediately hit at the 15 yard line.

Perhaps but both Cobbs and Ricky Williams in the running game hit the hole hard. Not seeing that in Brown and Ginn. I tell you I just do not beleive our WR's could get open which is really dangerous as Atlantas CBs are not suppose to be that good.
I also thought that the Wildcat calls came in at the wrong time. We were moving the ball and when they did not work Chad came in cold and just did not get it done.
Its almost like he played like he was upset he was pulled but he is a bigger guy than that.

I agree with everything except Ginn at KR. Our ST is horrible at blocking. That's the fault with our KR.

To be honest, it looks as if Pennington was pissed on the sideline talking to Henne. Looked like he was complaining about receivers not getting open. It seemed like he had to check down all game. Now dont get me wrong, I thought pennington played terrible as well.

As I have had a few hours to reflect and I would need the game tape of the entire field I truly believe a majority of this is due to the WR's not getting open. Pennington does like to dink an dunk and Martin or a TE helps in that offense so maybe that hurt too.

I hear you about the blocking on special teams still need to hit that hole hard. So how long will the special teams coach last if this is not turned around is a real question. Everyone is on a short lease and his has to be pretty tight!
