This has been the most quiet FA in years. I know its day 2 , but it is quiet. We are not the only team aside from Washington, Broncos, Jets and Cheifs it has been offly quiet.
I am not bothered by it at all. There are alot of guys out there with talent and the longer that long list stays on the FA list in this economy...the better for us in the long haul. These teams signing these CB's for 6 mil+ is outrageous. Not many deserve that kind of money and Haynesworth is an overpaid DT. He gets hurt, thats alot of cash down the tubes.
The stud C will come in the draft and I think Coles could be sign if his asking price drops. I really wish there was some news on the visits, but aside from ***g visiting on monday we have heard nothing.
I hope we pickup three more players that upgrade our depth for a reasonable price. The saying that your team is only as good as its weakest link exists for a reason. I love the Berger signing. That is precisely the type of cap smart moves that made the Patriots a dynasty.
it's also handy not to get into the positon that makes you need a major overhaul. it's easier to take a great team and win over several years than it is to take a crap team and make them a solid team.
Look at all the money the Jets shelled out last year and what did that get them?? No playoffs and shelling out more money this year. Jets, Raiders, Redskins, Cowboys all quick to sign free agents at big money and look at the state of their franchises. Pathetic.
