I've people have been saying that Lienhan might be gone to Minnnesota next year. I don't think so! People, Nick Saban is one the most intelligent coaches in the NFL. You don't think he thought about the Vikes situation and the possibility of him leaving after just one year. I think Lienhan is committed to turning this Dolphins team around. In case you guys don't remember, there was a article during the off-season saying how it will take a couple of years for the Dolphins to be completely adjusted to the system. Nick, knowing that, realized he would need Lienhan for more than a year. I'm pretty sure this possibilty of him leaving was discussed and and they came to a mutual agreement. So fellas, don't worry your heads about Lienhan leaving. He'll definitely be with us for more than just a year.

I think Saban would have signed Linehan on even if he knew it was for a year. Linehan is an offensive genius, we've already seen what he has done for us.

He will be leaving. Maybe it isn't Minny but he is the next hot assistant coach in this league. At most he is here 2 years. But I wouldn't be shocked if he left after this year.

Tice is done in Minny. Cullpepper is the star. If Cullpepper says I want HIM to be my head coach. Guess what, he will be the head coach

That's true until the time that someone "makes him an offer he can't refuse."

Saban is intelligent in that he has so many assistants. He is grooming Linehan's replacement as we speak. Smart.

Couldn't this have been posted on the already-existent Linehan thread?

I think Saban cannot know one way or the other whether Linehan would stay or go if offered a HC'ing job. I seriously doubt the subject has ever been discussed between the TWO men. I do however feel Saban has all those other coaches he hired picking Linehan's brain so to speak in case he was to leave for a HC'ing job.

My personal opinion is no coach is going to turn down a NFL HC'ing job. They simply do not grow on trees.

Yeah that is very smart but I hope you are right.

Linehan is a little young to be offered a HC job already. What owners want to see is a good track record in more than one enviroment. I doubt he will be gone next year, but if we have a good offense next year he could be offered something after that.

Also- his replacement for us may already be here in charlie baggett, unless linehan leaves and takes bagget as his OC.

I know this system isn't going to be mastered for a couple of years. But do you guys think we can succeed in the future in this offense after only a year with Lienhan.

That would be a huge blower if he left then took Charlie Bagget.:shakeno:

ok doesnt a team have to ask permission to let an assistant coach be interviewed for hc'ing job.lol.. so if this happens next year, then im sure saban wouldnt allow a team to interview linehan

No they cannot stop that if the job is a step up. They can only control the timing of the interview.

Uhhhh didnt he sign a contract ..unless it gets bought out i doubt he will be gone after this year
