after watching the fins last night it hit me late in the game when henne hit bess on that roll out that we are just a few players away from being a legit superbowl contender! yes i said it superbowl! this team is mentaly tough and is learning how to win the close games unlike early in the year. i honestly think if we can get a big name wr a playmaking mlb and a freesafety that can cover we can be a team that could have a chance to make the superbowl next season. we have dominating lines a great running game and good young corners, most of the peices are there i just hope parcells learns his lesson and goes out and gets an anquan boldin or drafts a dez bryant type, just think about this team with anquan boldin(or any#1) at wr and say brandon spikes or terrence cody next year. i can just picture ricky going out with a ring next year! that would be amazing!
just how far away do you guys think we are?

i think we need to sign bethea, free saftey from the colts........then sign boldin or brandon marshall at the wr spot...and the rest we fix in the draft

Honestly....I don't see a single WR in this draft worth a 1st round pick....not when you compile the talent lvl that will be avaailible in round 2....

to me the pefect fix next offseason would be to find a stud WR in FA. I'm just not sure it's going to be possible considering there probably wont be a new CBA next yr, so a lot of these guys like Marshall and Jackson if not resigned will still be RFAs.

I would like draft day to be McClain in round 1 and best WR availible in rd.2

I agree, we should be looking to obtain a #1 WR through FA or trade. I hope they get the new CBA hammered out. Without it, the UFA market goes to crap. Hopefully, worst case scenario, they do something like extend the current deal for another year. I think both players and owners really lose without one in place.

Also, I really like the possiblility of McClain in Rd 1, just not sure he will be there when we pick, unless our season really takes a downward turn.

No way they extend the current one....the owners opted out for a reason....there will be no cba next yr.

hopefully the following scenario pans out...weis is fired from ND..as a consequence jimmy clausen leaves early and b/c of that golden tate leaves early too..the dolphins then select golden tate..idk if ya'll seen this kid but he is a BEAST...gets a ton of yards after the catch..takes 5-6 guys to tackle him..incredible hands and speed..home run threat every time..former hb and runs the reverse and wilcat excellent at ND..i think he would be a monster

If we could get a guy like Marshall in FA then sure use a 2nd rounder on Benn or maybe Lafell. But if we don't I think Dez Bryant is easily worth a first rounder. I'm not gonna go on my Dez Bryant rant right now but he's got rare ability.

I think what you meant is that we are 3 linebackers and FS away from really competing as well as a competent tight end and one good solid wr. But yeah..that sounds about right.
