On the official Dolphin site under the "roster" it lists Hadnot as c and Seth as c/g, interesting!

Hadnot hasnt shown that he can make the line calls yet. That doesnt bode well for Gus's health. I think he'll be much better than seth down the road but in the short term it could get brutal

In the HOF game he did ok, and he did ok during TC. He definatly can't be worse than McKinney.

It was announced that earlier in the offseason that Rex Hadnot would be moved to Center and getting some playing time at Center, but as of now he is our starting RG and Seth McKinney is our starting C. I just looked at the site's Official Depth Chart just to make sure and it has Hadnot at RG and Seth at C so this is nothing new.

i just have a question has mckinney ever made line calls!!! If so then they sure as hell are working. Hadnot cant be any worse

In the short term he could be alot worse. There's going to be a whole lot of blitzing till our line can prove they can stop it. I agree though that in the long term, maybe by the end of this year, he'll be a better center

Center is a major concern for our football team this season. Notice the problems we had running up the middle? Maybe thats another reason why Saban brings in that Bowling Ball from Sandiego at 5'8 247 Lbs, so we can move D Line back off the Football, we all know Mckinney can't do it.

What ever happen to that Kid we picked up from the Eagles?

The only reason it caught my eye is that the roster appears to reflect cuts and transactions of today if I am not mistaken.

that was actually the reason given for McKinney being unable to unseat Tim Ruddy at Center...that he couldnt make the line calls.

Now, by most accounts Tony Wise's blocking schemes made little or no sense and Tim Ruddy was widely known to be an extremely smart guy, so maybe McKinney wasnt as dumb as a lot of people (including me) thought.

Perhaps as he soaks in Houck's teachings McKinney can actually develop into a decent center. He hasnt shown much yet this preseason, but these things take time.

No actually he's shown improvement but he's just not very strong.

Seths problems this preseason arent making line calls like last year. its that he cant get any push in his run blocking

I agree with Adam. Hadnot is stronger and may take over down the road but the mental aspect is very important and he just isn't there yet, besides he's doing a good job at RG.
