I don't know what to think of our rookie,
On one hand he looked good,on the other he has the look of a classic miami dolphin, shows some talent but will always dissapoint.I know if he catches that touchdown he's a star, but wait he did'nt ,interested to see what people's thoughts on his performance was because i for one don't know how to evaluate it,,,,boomer are you out there

I thought Hagan did a great job at everything except catching - which is probably most important, but correctable I think. Lets hope he was just nervous in his first start. He was getting open and ran well after the catch. Hes actually a lot bigger than I thought. I think he will be better after those few humiliating drops.

He's a rookie getting extended playing time for the first time in his career as a pro. The drops were disappointing, but there's no need to be down on him. Generally in college his hands were solid. His game yesterday reminded me of the Senior Bowl where he came in looking to bump up into R1 and really struggled hands wise and he fell to R3.

He'll be fine one he learns the nuances of the game and understands how to use his body better.

I liked the fact that he got open, not every rookie can do that. He also played using his body pretty well. He sems to be pretty good at getting position on the DB. I too was suprised at how big he looks, not just tall but thick. The drops I'll chalk up to inexperience for now.

He dropped that TD (it wasnt an easy catch, its always hard to backpedal with a guy on you and come up with it) he should have caught it though no excuses.

But he also made a couple difficult catches, inconsistancy. He is a rookie so thats expected. As long as he keeps inproving I think he will be very good

I say we keep playing Hagan because he alot of upside to him. He's not small by any means and if we could lose some of the drops he'd be good.

what do you expect first time he has really played.

he had alot of drops but so did Chambers and McMichael.

On that topic Hagan played a better game than Chambers. I don't know if I should be happy about that or pissed off.

just because you're a rookie that means you shouldn't be able to catch the ball? he will fit right in with this team. don't forget that HUGE drop he had on that 3rd down play when he was all alone on the sideline, it would have been a big gain into jet territory.

I dont think there was any reciever that didn't have a drop yesterday. So he is on par with the rest of his recieving core. Welker still played good and I seen him as the #2 WR a couple times still getting open. He is still best working out of his slot position, but did a good job. Had a very nice block on Ronnie's big run.

Welker is the only receiver that looks like a quality NFL receiver on our team. He makes the catches he should and he picks up yards after the catch when he has room. Chambers should have been prime trade bait after last season. He is too inconsistent to be a starter every week.

Not to mention did you see Welker shake those 2 guys off yesterday and pick up 8 yards. That was sweet! I just dont know about our recieving core. Sometimes they look great, I mean at the end of last year we could never say we need to get rid of Chambers, and now he looks bad again. Dont know who looks better in FA.
