I read that some rookies allready signed and some are in contract negotiations....But one of the most important piece in our offense this year, WR Hagan has been invisible in contract negotiations...I did't recall reading that WR Hagan was in a contract negotiation...The Herald article included every rookie except HAGAN...
I hope it's nothing to worry about !!!!
[admin] gif had nothing to do with the post[/admin]

O'****, that pic's funny as hell!! :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

As for Hagan, I wouldn't be too worried. Most of the attention is probably on Jason Allen. Most of the time you don't hear much on the mid-late rounders until they're actually signed. I think he & his agent understand that he'll be battling for the #3 WR spot, and I doubt they'd take any chances with a late start..

I wouldn't worry about it. Rookie receivers dont usually produce much in their first year. I know there are exceptions like Boldin and Chambers. However, I think it would be foolish to expect too much from the kid right away.

later round picks usually sign quicker than first rounders, but hagan is a talented reciever, so his price tag may not match his draft position. but as said above, he understands he is competing for the 3rd reciever, he'll sign....

Well stated:wink: !

He'll be there, dont worry...any stalls would be due

Luckily we can probably just blame the lack of news on Hagan on the iron curtain of saban's media policies.

But then why have we heard about every other rookie? I like the thought and hope that is the reason, but it would not explain how we have heard all other rookies are either in contract negotiations or signing soon.

We wouldnt have heard anything about Jason Allen if he wasn't a first round pick. We heard about the others simply because they have signed or already agreed in principle.

Hagan and Allen have not...and we heard about Allen just cuz he's a 1st round pick and Huizenga specifically said whoever we get at #16 is getting under contract before camp hell or high water.

I am not worried about Hagan. There is more going on concerning his contract that i'm sure we know. Just stay tuned i'm sure something will get done and reported.

Have we actually signed Vick - I notice that there's a signed fins lid on eBay with #16 on it.

His price tag, and every rookie players price tag (with the exception of first round QBs) will be determined by where he is drafted, not his talent. The only mystery in the deal is the structure (the team will trade guaranteed money for years and those types of details). The basic value of his contract is already determined. The only way his talent will affect his contract is on the incentives that he reaches.

Yeah but, he still has to make the team to get paid.
