As excited as I am about our first pick Jason Allen, I think Im more excited about WR Derek Hagan!!!

Does anyone else think Hagan can be a bigger, badder version of OJ McDuffie?! (a great possession reciever)

Don't forget in '93 we got him at #25 in the first round. (its been a while!)

Saban did good. Real good.:D

He is pretty tough, but his hands aren't as good as Duf. He can improve that with a lot of repetition, but it takes dedication.

I hope he has the heart of McDuffie - if he brings that to the table then we have a winner on our hands.:dolphins:

I'm so excited about Hagan too. He reminds me of a Mushin Muhammed/ Rod Smith type WR. I think he's going to be an awesome number 2.

McDuf brought his fair share of frustration with catches and Hagan isn't known for having lead hands outside of the Senior Bowl.

I forget the exact stat... but McDuffie was fun to watch because he converted a high percentage of 3rd downs for Marino. (It seemed like every catch was a first down... even when the other team knew it was coming his way)

Im hoping Hagan will be able to do that too!

Hagan will be solid. Those who doubt him will change their stripes in a few months.
