I'll come right out and say it... I have a bias.... for Hagen and against Ginn... and admit both are unproven with holes in their game...

It appears the Trio is less than enthusiastic when it comes to Ginn... and the SS reports Hagen is now working with the first unit in Ginns spot...

"Coaches were tinkering with the depth chart Wednesday. Derek Hagan, not Ginn, was working with the starting unit."

And then I go on to read in another local paper that Bess is spending late nights at "Chad Pennington University" attempting to close the gap on the "me to you" learning curve between CP and the WR's.

Clearly a guy like Bess "gets it".... and guys like Ginn have yet to "get it"....

I doubt Ginn is highly regarded in the locker room because he plays so soft....

Clearly a wake up call is in order for Ginn... and the Trio are just the guys to do it.... does he or doesn't he... we'll soon find out!

So, they remove Ginn from returning kickoffs so he can can concentrate on being just a WR, yet they demote him at WR. I think this is more a kick in the pants by the coaching staff than a reflection of Ginn's abilities. I think they realize Ginn has the talent, but he isn't reaching his full potential yet. Hopefully this will help jump start it. I doubt that come game time that Ginn is not a starter.

Have always said that Ginn as our number 1 reciever shows how bad that group is.

But Hagan at number 1 is just plain embarrassing

Hagan has always been a better route runner. The only thing that Ginn has shown is speed. They've been trying to convert Ginn into a WR since college. Now they are still trying to. Hahan may have more upside as a pure receive IMO Hagan knows how to get open. Now he just has to catch the ball.

I'd rather see London in the 3 WR set, possibly #2. I like him. Hagan, we have seen how this guy plays, Camarillo also.

Exactly, by far the worst in the league. Not one of these guys start on another team.:rolleyes2:

Our receivers are all horribly flawed. I think Bess is actually the best WR we have at this point. Face it, Hagan practices well and then drops passes and disappears on gameday, Camarillo is a journeyman type guy who has no special skills of any kind, Ginn has shown to have nothing more then straight line speed and can't get off press coverage as well as not being a polished route runner, Wilford is slow and has been dropping passes with regularity. Bess has quickness but is not fast. We can only hope Bess turns into the next Wes Welker.

I think Ginn definetly needs some extra motivation, but I believe he will improve. Giving his spot to Derek "featherstone" Hagan sounds like an old parcells motivation trick. The only thing I can say is if they're gonna take him away from WR then they should let him do returns cuz the man is a beast when it comes to that. They both have a lot of potential IMO.

Until Ginn learns how to run routes and beat press coverage he will be nothing as a receiver. He has shown nothing more then straight line speed. It takes him time to get up to his great speed. That's one reason why he never gets many yards on end around runs. He lacks suddenness and quickness

I tell ya Hagan (I cant catch the ball in a real game), if you remember, got seperation in the Saints game. Matter of fact it was within 20 yds, very quick, then he drops it. Hagan has better size and reciver skills than Ginn, he just doesnt have his hands and speed.

They need to use Ginn in the slot, keeps him from getting jammed on the line, gets him moving, which will all lead to more catches, more yds after the catch and I think the biggest thing is confidence.

The only receiving corps that is comparable to ours is Seattle who will start Courtney Taylor, Billy McMullen, and Samie Parker. At least their situation was caused by a rash of injuries. Yikes.

I wonder if Hagan works better with Chad, sometimes it happens that way.
