I feel bad for Henne too, just like I felt bad for Fiedler. Basically, they both get **** for not being Dan Marino (Fiedler because he replaced Marino, and Henne because of the unreasonable expectations that were put on him after he was drafted). Henne is also incurring more wrath because we as a fanbase are frustrated as **** that it's been 11 freaking years since we've had a QB that can consistently throw more to his own team than the opponent.

Why feel bad for him... this is potentially his 3rd year coming in as a starter and still can't perform.. I'm tired of waiting on him to "develop" and start making plays... We need this to be an open QB competition.. and we'll see if he really steps up to the challenge

What a disgrace... Anybody booing and/or thinking its cool that this went down is not a true dolphin fan. You are a loser and you obviously have never played sports competitively. And if you did, I'm glad you weren't ever a teammate of mine. You support the guy that is given the job and hope for the best. Despite how arrogant some of our fans are, the FO isnt going to make a move because you clowns boo chad henne for missing on throws. I guarantee Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers all miss on throws. Especially the first week or 2 of camp. You people who booed/think its cool that fans booed disgust me. I hope Henne tears the house down and shuts some people up. Chances are he will be our qb at the start of the season and he has zero support from the fans.\

Even the people who boo him roots for this to happen.. But will it, probably not. He hasn't shown any signs that he can be THAT QB for our team.

It will be an open competition.. With the QB's that are on our roster. Moore can't even practice yet. He's not performing the first days of training camp after a long off season? Way to think rationally.

we deserve better man and the coaching staff needs to understand this...if his confidence is being shaken by a crowd that isnt even on the field then we dont need him...maybe thats why he cant get over the hump under pressure. Henne hasnt gained respect from the fans yet, so i doubt the players repect him. Henne makes millions. He needs to play better period. Right now he should be lighting it up and clearly looking like a starter.

actually henne wont make over a million this year unless he hits a lot of incentives...thats what was funny about orton, he wanted 6 million while hennes salary this year was 600k

Dude, that is such BS.

It's day four of training camp with a new OC and new offensive scheme and Henne isn't as bad as the haters want everyone else to believe. Read training camp reports from any other team and you'll find the same thing, the QB's are rusty, timing is off and the offense doesn't look very good. We also only have two starting O-linemen practicing today so the entire offense including the QB's are getting mauled by a potentially top 5 defense.

How about we reserve judgement until we've actually seen a preseason game or two.

Im not sure where you work, but if there was always a crowd of people in your cubicle or wherever you work bashing you, calling you trash, booing you every time you slipped up, would you really be motivated to do a good job? Psychology is a big part of the game, especially at that position. A destroyed confidence can be very difficult to overcome.

In fact, I'm trying to think back to QBs who started off slow with their current team, with incessently being bashed, and overcame to be successful with their current team. The only guy I can think of is Eli Manning. Ironically enough, if there is one guy who's demeanor I would compare Henne to, it would be Eli.

Aw come on.. this is a PERFORMANCE BASED SPORT.. if you don't perform you don't get the love and support... you get the boot.. this guy was handed the keys to this car and continues to crash it. You wanna have sympathy for this guys psyche.. How about some sympathy for the fans who pay their hard earned money to watch this guy stumble and fumble away games... I have no remorse... its time for him to step up to the challenge of being an NFL QB.. I'm sure Peyton got booed his first season (3-13) but guess what he studied the game and PROGRESSED into being a great QB, making the pro-bowl his second season..

If I'm not mistaken Henne is slated to make $550,000 this coming season.

Youre assuming it wont be an open competition between henne and moore. not a dream scenario for a competition but that's who is on our team. And its irrational to say a guy hasnt progressed after 3 days of practice.
