Youre assuming it wont be an open competition between henne and moore. not a dream scenario for a competition but that's who is on our team. And its irrational to say a guy hasnt progressed after 3 days of practice.

I'm looking at his complete body of work.. not just 3 days.. nearly 3 years.. how much longer are you willing to wait??

I wanted to replace him this year. It hasn't happened yet. But it's not the right thing to do to go out there and boo the man. I wanted mallett, was hoping for Palmer, would have taken orton if cheap, would have accepted VY. It's just classless and not constructive in any way to boo the man. It does absolutely nothing positive for the franchise that many claim to love.

Those fans that were booing were REAL fans!

Henne is horrible, and instead of being a lamb and going through another 7-9 season, they actually want to see change. Good for them! :hclap:

Those fans, and everyone like them, are d**k.

Nonsense.

Nothing wrong with proactive fans. We deserve a team that can and will compete for Super Bowls. It's painfully obvious that we can't do this with Chad Henne. We need a QB. And if ownership and the front office won't go out and do whatever it takes to get a stud QB here in Miami, then the fans aren't going to sit there and take it bending over. They will voice their displeasure in a hateful manner. These people expect and demand MORE from this franchise.

These are the REAL fans of the Miami Dolphins. Sucks it has to be this way, but something has to give.

The Dolphins already have people in place who are out there to "cheer" regardless of what happens, as does every other team in the league... they're called CHEERLEADERS.

Fans are expected to express what they think, feel, and expect.

Half of these "fans" around here aren't like any fans I've ever been around... I think they have to squat to pee...

What are you proving by booing the player? Boo Tony and Jeff if you see them. Send them an email and tell them how you feel. But what good is it doing trying to demoralize a guy who could very well be our starting QB again? If you ever played organized sports, did you boo your teammates when they screwed up? I would hope not. How is this any different. You can boo the decisionmaker for not playing the best option or not going out and getting a better option, but a true fan has the back of whoever is put in there to play. Encouragement and confidence can go a long way.
And to imply that a fan who tries to be encouraging, and finds it classless to plead for a QB that's not on our roster.. Squats when they pee..? Come see about that.

It's very different and you know it.

This is ridiculous. Booing players sends a message not only to the player but to the organization in charge of big boy decisions. They can keep parading Chad Henne out there behind center under this circus if they want, but eventually the fans are going to get sick of it and eventually they're going to be so sick of it that they express their concerns. Emails get deleted. When I come in to work I have about 30 emails and I probably delete 20+ of them because I can. Ireland does the same if he happens to see an email from Daniel in Palm Beach who is an owner/operator of a Del Ray putt-putt course. Ireland isn't listening to fan boys via email.

But when the media is reporting that fans are booing Chad Henne...again...and the rumors spread like an STD at a strip club, Ireland has no choice but to notice when he's asked by reporters about it later. Pressure is on. Something has to be done. That's the cycle. Happens all over the league every single year and there's nothing wrong with it. Your performance drops at work, you hear about it. Your kids bring how garbage report cards, you let them know about it. You don't stand by idle and let them fail without attempting to correct the situation yourself. You step in. That's what needs to happen here. It's practice. Right now, Chad Henne is without a doubt the man. So here's your chance big boy, PROVE yourself worthy of sticking around.

Or go work at Daniel's putt-putt course in Del Ray.

JCane is ****ing sick of losing.

Is this really a positive thing for our fanbase to do? Ruin the guy's confidence before even the first preseason game?

This is worse than how we treated Fiedler... honestly, I don't think Henne deserves this kind of treatment. Aside from playoff play, Henne plays at about the same level as Mark Sanchez, yet he is adored in NYC. I also want an upgrade, but I am not about to sabotage my team by getting into my current QB's head like this. Bunch of idiots at the practice, if you ask me...

Yeah this situation suck for Henne, as of now he';s on our roster and is in the running for a job. Rather we totally dislike him, it shouldnt be viewed as a one man game.

Agreed....sounds funny, but it's not Henne's fault that he is out there starting. He may or may not improve this year, but he's trying and that's all he can do. If he doesn't ever get to the next level then that's just the way it is...but he did no appoint himself the starter or draft himself. He's giving it his best shot, and if it isn't good enough...the FO needs to recognize that. Fans should support players on the team and encourage. Let's save our rants, frustrations, and disappointments for threads here on FH. (and yes it's ok to post good or optimistic things too =) ) That's why it's great to have an outlet like a forum to discuss stuff instead of blasting and mocking players in person.
It be different if Chad was walking around with a diva WR type attitude and thinking he hung the moon, but that's far from the case.
