any tar heel fans [or others] have any info or any inclination
on if he intends or has put in papers for the nfl this year?

this is a wr i woudnt mind in a finz uniform at all.

AND WE NEED WR'S BAD!!

hope he declares.

I've been endorsing this cat ever since that September game against THE U so I've been sold ever since.

CROSSES FINGERS HE DECLARES AND IF SO WE SELECT HIM WITH ONE OF OUR SECOND ROUNDERS!!!!

I'd absolutely LOVE to have Hakeem Nicks, I think he could be the next Roy E. Williams.

It's just that where would he play? We have Ginn, Camarillo, Bess, London

he would more than likely beat out ANY of those guys.

i just cant beleive how many dont relaize that we have NOTHING
close to a dominant wr or passing game.

and if the finz think he cant unseat any of those 3 they shouldnt
draft him [or any other wr].

yea we dont NEED him but he would improve our roster but that means someone will have to go. and it for sure aint gonna be bess or ginn..

I wouldn't mind getting him. I just don't think we'll draft him.

Parcells doesn't draft WRs.

Terry Glenn, Dedric Ward, Vincent Brisby, Stacy Robinson, Stephen Baker, and Mark Ingram were all drafted in the first 3 rounds by Parcells' teams.

A lot may change before late April, but at this point I'd be surprised if our 3 first day picks weren't all defensive players with an outside chance of an OL pick if the right guy was there. We could certainly use a tall, sure-handed red zone target like Wilford was supposed to be, but that seems like a much lower priority than OLB, ILB, NT, S and CB to me.

I'm a UNC alumni and Nicks have been amazing this season, specially considering that after Tate went down with an injury he was double covered almost every play.

For those who think he's not a good WR, just look at this catch at the bowl game against WVU.

Regarding his entry in the draft, I think he'll declare for it. What happened to Tate and TJ Yates (UNC QB) was a first hand example for him on how an injury can affect a player's season and in his case his financial future.

We definitely need a big reciever and I would be very happy with this guy, but the huy I really want is Ramses Barden. He could be our Brandon Marshall, except hopefully without the T.O. attitude.

I love Nicks. But if it means using anything higher than a 3rd on him, no thanks. We need an OLB, ILB, NT, CB, and FS more than we need a WR.

I think even a more interesting and possible draft choice would be Tate from UNC. He is far more explosive and has big play potential all over him. He was headed for an All American season until he hurt his knee mid way through this season. Because of his injury, the phins might get him later in the draft. He would have been a first or second round pick for sure if healthy. He could be a great kick returner and a deep threat in the passing game.

Also, Parcells did draft Keyshawn Johnson with #1 pick in New York if I am not mistaken.
