I recently read this on ESPN's Insider page....

Hakim delays decision
<Apr. 19> Hakim has drawn interest from the Cardinals, but will likely not decide on his future until after the NFL draft, the Arizona Republic reports.

"It's very early in the game for Az, with a number of teams wanting to talk to him after the draft," Hakim's agent, Chuck Price, said.

The Cardinals are thought to be a good fit for Hakim, given his his friendship with quarterback Kurt Warner, a former teammate in St. Louis, and because of Hakim's ability to return kicks and punts.

However, the two side remain far apart on compensation, and Price said he will talk to several other teams, including the Lions, Bears, Rams, Jets, Raiders and Dolphins.
Clayton's saying we have interest? Yeah, maybe as a smokecreen...I don't know about anyone else, but Hakim is not a guy for us....He's an "alright" #3 guy, and he returns kicks and punts, but that's what we have Welker for...And Campbell...Maybe it's just me, but it's said he's asking for #2 type money ($2-3 Million) a year....Is this guy insane? or is it just me? Oh and sorry if this has already been posted....:D

I doubt he signs. He's a damn good returner, and one of the fastest guys I've ever seen, but he fumbles way too much, not to mention was a big-time bust in Detriot. If he were a few years younger I'd want Miami to get him, but pass.

AZ must be thinking hes from OZ if someone going to give 2to3 mill a year. he not even a good 3wr he bolted to detroit for the money but showed he is not a top teir reciever.

I LOVE THIS TEAM HOORAH..............

seriously, this is what half the posts look like to me lately.

I think the lack of responses in the thread signifies how truly excited Miami would be about getting Hakim.

Of course, if he signed everyone would be talking about how great Saban is and how Hakim is going to light it up. Go figure.

Not only that, it doesn't even say Miami has any interest at all. It just says that his agent will contact the Dolphins.
