It's just been reported on ESPN that former Kansas City and New Orleans head coach Hank Stram has died after a lengthy fight against diabetes. He was 82 years old.

Stram led KC to it's only two Super Bowl apperances, which included one Lombardi Trophy (1970).

He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Chiefs Hall of Fame in 1987, and is the Chiefs' all-time winningest coach.

He coached the New Orleans Saints in 1976-77.

Stram's career regular-season record was 131-97-10, with a 5-3 playoff record. RIP.

Since I live over seas I follow alot of NFL games over the radio. Hank Stram was by far the absolute best commentator I have ever heard. I learnt more about football from him than any other radio or tv announcer. Him and Jack Buck were the best.
Rest in peace Hank.
