Hang on.... is this possible?

The Bengals will have a better conference record than us. The Jaguars beat us. The only hope with the Jags is if Tennesee jumps into the equation becuase they would eliminate Jacksonville due to being 2nd in the South with the Jags being 3rd. Then we would get the tie breaker over the Titans.

So Tennesee would have to win out and then in comes to conference records?

Well it's all wishy washy. If Jacksonville doesn't lose out and wins just 1 game, for us to jump ahead of them, Tennessee would have to win out which would also make them 9-7. If it came down to those three teams at 9-7 for the last spot, we would get it because you have to be second in your division to qualify instead of being 3rd and making it over a 2nd place team in your division. So those two teams being in the same division, the would first eliminate the 3rd place team. This would be Jacksonville because if Tennessee wins out, they will have a better division record than Jacksonville. After that, it comes down to Tennessee and Miami. Miami beat Tennessee in week 3 which would propel them to the post season. Make sense? lol

Yeah I get it. And we need Jets to lose like two, KC and Denver to lose one, and us to win out? Sounds easy enough.... now all we need is for EVERYONE to be hoping for this to happen.

Well the Jets will only need one loss which would come to us. There is a list of tie breakers it goes through but it eventually gets to strength of victory which will go to us. KC only needs one loss and I believe Denver needs 2 unless they tie KC. Then the same situation applies as the one that applied to the Titans and Jags. KC will be ahead of Denver but we will be ahead of KC because of head to head matchup. It's so confusing right now it would take an entire novel to explain everything. After this week, everything should be quite a bit more clear.

I understood that perfectly, thanks :)

...rooting for Fins of course and for the hopes of a playoff miracle...
Titans over the Jags!
(division rivals, Tenn. is almost as hot as the fins, vince young is playin great... big upset, its possible)

Carolina over Pittsburgh!
(Pitt is pretty hot lately, but panthers need this to stay alive in the NFC)

Arizona over Denver!
(Denver's been falling off the charts, defensive letdowns and now a rookie QB thrown in too early, Cardinals are lookin hot... upset of the week?)

San Diego over KC!
(LT, need I say more)

Indy over Cinci!
(In Indy, Monday night, this is going to be a shootout, Peyton Manning vs. Carson Palmer, Manning hopefully gets the edge)

And doesn't affect much but what the hell...
Minnesota over Jets!
Texans over Pats!

It does not matter our playoff hopes are done. We have no shot at the playoffs. period end of statement!

I think, by reading the legit NFL Playoff Qualifications, that the Dolphins are still eligible. Maybe you know something I don't.
