On his radio show yesterday <WQAM, Miami> Hank Goldberg was playing G.M. and claimed we needed 12 new faces next year . 4 in the secondary, Q.B. W.R. and OL, I dont know, i'm not a huge fan of Goldbergs, seems he likes to Rip the Fins a you know what and then kisses a%$ when he has a player/coach on, any thoughts on 12 new faces <Starters> next year?

2 at corner, i think i'd be fine if Miami brought back the same safeties. I think if you dont want people to start burning Huizenga real estate down then we'll need to go and get a QB, WR we could use a SOLID number one, and offensive line i wouldn't mind seeing McDougle and McKinney go. Goldberg though like you said hates the Phins, he's being a little over-dramatic which is fine, i just dont think we need 12 new starters out of 22 players starting.....

Both our our future CB's are already on the team... Will Poole and Travis Daniels. Chambers is a decent number one, he has great hands. Booker I like as WR, O-Line and QB we need though.

o-line yes (at least 3 new starters)
QB yes
1 at corner, Daniels will improve. Madison is good for another year.
1 saftey.
WR we could use 1, but that is at the bottom of the list

Yeah, i kind of meant Miami to start Poole and Daniels over Madison and Howard. Daniels starts now so really only one corner needed, i just dont think Sam Madison has the ability to cover any number 1 recievers in the league anymore.

agreed

Fat Hank is good for two things...gambling, and his sources. Once he starts editorializing, tune out. He doesnt know a football from a side of baby back ribs. He continually says dumb things, and tries to apply gambling statistics to the game of football.

Not only that, but he tries so hard to rip people and frankly it's very painful to listen to. Alot of the callers need to be ripped new arses, but Hank doesnt have the mental equipment to do it. He'll start yelling and blurt out some dumb insult. YOU GO TO HELL YOU UHH IDIOT OK? DIE PLEASE.

we do need another cb i feel just to make the two starters work for their spots, i feel we do need a young hitter in the secondary either ss or fs. an issue i feel we need to address is more lb's its kinda a weak area, people need to look past thomas and seau and its kind of weak, specially with the poor game channing had. we do need ol but i feel our coach is our oline so im not too worried about that, and i would like a domiating FB
i always hated konrad

I think we need alot of help, probably two offseason's worth to put together a dominant team and that's if everything works out.

QB - Anywhere from one to three. At least one rookie QB and IMO 1 free agent (Carr, Rivers, etc)

RB- We're fine here. none is needed

WR - One speed demon who can get open deep or one receiver who has the abilty to make YAC.

TE - We're set here. None are needed

OL- We have solidified the depth. We have five capable linemen starting but no studs. To be a good or great Offensive line you need at least two studs. We need at one killer LOT (DBrickshaw) and one other pro bowl quality lineman if not two. I dont think it matters what position.

DL - Not as huge a priority as this past offseason but we still need to add at least one defensive tackle and one defensive end, just to keep the youth movement going

LB- Same as above, not a priority but we need to keep adding youth. One to two need to be added (inside or outside)

DB - Priority number one on defense. We lack depth. Will Poole will be back and Daniels will be good. Both Cbs will be solid number 2 Corners. What we need is a number 1 corner to replace Madison. One or two safeties are also needed

Sp Teams - I can live with Donnie Jones and Mare appears to be back as long as he's not punting

I agree with most of this. But I really don't see Madison starting for us next year. Maybe he will be a nickel or dime back.

Fat Hank is a bumbling idiot who is about as sour a person as there is...He is still pissed that Mandich got the color announcer over him way back when...He needs to get over himself and let it go....He dislikes the Fins, especially since his good buddy isn't with the Fins anymore (our QB coach last year...name suddenly escapes me). That is where he got any scoops from...that said, as far as new faces...

1a) QB, Gus has to go...Sage is another career backup too...Lemon..who knows yet...I expect this to be our BIG signing in FA. I also see us drafting a guy on day two if we land a solid young guy (Rivers, Brees, Schaub, Volek, Carr) or day one if we get a FA in the next tier down (another washed up has-been like Warner, Holcomb, Rattay, Couch, etc)
1b) OL, particularly LT and C...We need a rock at LT that we just don't have and the middle of our line is soft with Seth...We have talent enough to fill in the guard spots and RT on the roster.
3) CB, at least one to compliment Poole. We need an established starter so that Daniels and Poole can battle out the opposite side and the loser becomes sthe nickel guy.
4) DT/DE, although we have several guys now, Traylor probably won't be here or be effective enough if he is. Wright and Vickerson haven't shown much yet...Carter is a better DE in Saban's scheme than DT, but we have to use him there now. Holliday, if I am not mistaken is on a 1 year contract...he'll have to be resigned or replaced. Bowens is, at best a serviceable DE/OLB. Could use upgrade at DE...
5) S, Jones weaknesses are being exploited. Tillman hasn't lived up to the hype...we need a solid SS and don't have one now. Schulters is playing well, but needs to be resigned...He'll want more money...Bell is ok as a backup FS to Schulters.
6) Backup TE. After McMike there is no one.
7) #3 or #1 WR (assumes moving Booker to #3 and CC to #2... We need a burner, someone to really stretch the field. CC can be Linehan's Moss if he had a QB to throw the ball and someone either in the slot or opposite him with some speed...

With the add'l cap room we are rumored to have and Mueller and Saban collecting guys that fit the systems, it could be an awesome offseason...QB, C, S and backup TE comes via FA. Rest via draft. Corner is a possiblity via FA, but it would be a stop-gap measure with a mid round draft choice to groom.
