Hey Guys,

Have u guys noticied that it seems that Goldberg (560 WQAM) has some kind of axe to grind w/the Fins & w/Nick in particular. He never passes up a chance to take a shot at Nick & the Fins. There was some soundbyte the other day about Nick telling the media not to ask him a particular question or he'd do what he does w/his kids: "take away the car keys". Goldberg played that and then went on a rant about, of all teams, the Jets. Something to the effect: "once a Jet, always a Jet!... have you seen our (Jet's) schedule the rest of the way?... come and take my car keys, Nick!"

Don't know if this is because Nick won't grant him an interview or if it's b-cuz he was booted as Fins color man or what.

Comments & observations? What do u guys think.
 
I think that's why I don't listen to him.. Haven't tuned into anything before 10pm (Ed Kaplan) on 560 since 790 started up and I used to work at 560! :lol:
He's probably bitter that he doesn't have total access to the Fins anymore since they aren't the home of the Dolphins.. Who knows, he's a naturally cranky guy so it could be that he had a bad corned beef sandwich..
 
im around a lot of football people, and nobody likes goldberg. he is a college dropout. only reason he has a job is because of his father.
 
I think Hank is the worst anything in sports. He sucks at radio and he's even worse at TV! He always looks so nervous when he's talking and he can't complete a single sentence with out forgetting what he was trying to say. He's just plain horrible.
 
Fat Hank is a Jag Off. Plain and simple he is a Fat Cow and is totally irrelevant. He goes by the nickname "Hammer" I guess because his first name is Hank. I bet the greatest baseball player in history IMO pukes when he hears that slob refered to as Hammering Hank
 
I have listened to him on-line a couple times. He berates callers and generally treats people like crap. I don't know why anyone listens to him.
 
I'm a fan of Goldberg. He has turned bitter from the 1-6 start. He blames the coach and the coaching staff.

Hank Goldberg has a grumpy streak. He is pretty entertaining to listen to, though. Pairing him with Mad Dog seems to be working out.

Hank also doesn't like Jeffery Luria of the Marlins. Luria, though, is pretty unpopular these days after firing the "Manager of the Year".

I agree Hank has over-reacted. Maybe he'll turn around a bit, if we beat Minnesota and Detroit. It is obvious from the comments that Hank's bitterness is turning off a lot of listeners.
 
Hank always sounds like he had to get for work with a massive hangover, no hot water and no clean undewear.
He should just stay home.
 
Its not just hank that cant stand saban...its pretty much every sports broadcaster in south florida....Have any of you heard the spoofs that both Bo and Footy and Dan LeBatard do on Nick Saban's press conferences...pretty funny stuff.
 
2 words... Dan Lebatard... Within the next couple of months Dan will trump Hank out of the market. Hank GOldberg was so used to being the top dog in the market (because there was no real competition) and now he's a joke. He only gets passionate about food and horse racing. I usually dont root for anyone to be fired -- but Hank and Coker must be excommunicated from South Florida.

i think its GREAT!!

if the fans and media and players dont start PUBLICLY
putting this clown on the spot, we will be stuck with
him AND a mess of losing for several years.

hank, like many others, just calls it as he sees it.

he isnt a blind homer, sabanist, thats all!!

Lebaturd has nothing on Hank.

Hate him if you like, and I admit he can grate on you, but at least he talks serious sports.
He gets good information and has a solid show unlike Lebaturd.

Lebaturd resorts to stupid gags to fill high amounts of time where he just can't think of anything to talk about and making any controversial statement he can just to stir people up for ratings. Dan is a hack while Hank is a real sports media guy.

Between the weekly guests he has, the humor he brings and the way he treats his listeners -- Dan is on another level. I don't blame Hank for being like he is... If I looked like him, I'd be pretty pissed at the world also... :sidelol:
