Life as an NFL rookie quarterback can be hard. That's why Beck is happy when he can come home and see his 10-week-old son, whose full name is Tyler.

"When I look at him, I think, man, I'm his dad -- I have a lot of responsibility," Beck said. "I've got to be accountable to him, because he's going to look to me for life lessons. He's going to look to me to support him, he's going to look to me to teach him."

The former BYU quarterback named his son Ty for two reasons -- he was a big fan of Cougars Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer and also rodeo star Ty Murray.

"I just kind of thought hey, if I had a chance to pick my own name when I was a kid, I would have wanted it to be Ty," he said.
