Happy Gilmore!

Beautiful throw it was. And now the lead, no excuses- RUN THE BALL.

Good pickup by Spielman. I've ripped him often but you've got to give him credit for finding Gilmore late in the 2004 preseason. I have no idea why he doesn't play more. He always shows hands, instincts and tenacity when given the chance. A huge upgrade over Derrius Thompson especially given the contributions elsewhere.

mabe its because he has stone hands

that's not entirely true. For most of the year he's been our 5th WR. Eventhough Linehan loves to pass, he rarely uses 5 WRs. He uses 2 TEs, 4 WRs, and multiple backs

I've never noticed stone hands. In the preseason he took one right off the turf for a TD against the Bears.

i have to say... he is very smallish, and doesn't have the explosion of those of that size who create a spark in this league... he beat off coverage with dumb safety help, nice touchdown... yes...

yet he missed a key catch a couple series later... i believe there was a time he was behind Kendall Newsome... btw, what ultimately happened to Newsome? Knee?

Yeah, another knee injury for Newsom. In preseason on a punt return, if I remember correctly.

Newson's currently on IR.

2004 = Ruptured Achilles
2005 = Torn ACL/Torn Patella tendon

sadly, his days as a fin are probably over.

Of course, I never understood why everyone on this board loved him so much. He never really impressed me.

Why dont all our recievers make plays like that!
They do...they all drop catches right in their hands on third down just like Gilmore did later in the quarter.

You mean the seperation that Happy got on the DB made the throw look that good. Why can't CC our #1 WR gain that type of seperation any more?!
