I live here in Miami and these last couple of days have been like no other is S. Fl. sports history. Both the U of Miami and the Miami Dolphins will have new football coaches going forward.

I've been a Dolphin fan forever and I'm thrilled the Gase era is over. I never felt he was all in on Miami and that he was a rental in way. On top of that the team was going in the wrong direction and totally bottomed out against a totally beatable Jacksonville team. Gase made a critical error in his genius calculations, he was 100% wrong about Tannehill. Tannehill is just good enough to get you fired which seems to be happening over and over so far in his career. Gase is just his latest victim.

What puzzles me is that other NFL teams want to talk to Gase about the head coach position. He was a complete failure here and the franchise is left in woeful shape with the worst offense and the worst defense in football or damn close. Why would someone with a brain want to hire this impostor? His agent must be AMAZING!

So, Chris Grier is our football guy going forward. Mike Tannenbaum is handing out towels in the bathroom. Grier leads the search for the next coach. None of the names are bowling me over right now. Take your time and get it right.

Well, here hoping that 2019 is a great year for all of my Finheaven brothers and the Miami Dolphins.

Out with the old. In with the new.

I 1000% agree!

Good riddance.

At least we have a chance at a fresh start...

Gase's nickname in Denver was "goose." One of his former players tweeted they fired the goose! C'mon, they got it right, he looks just like a goose!

Total DORK goose!

And Adam -- stop trying to hide the premature baldness!

Guy won 7 games with the worst talent in the league (after injuries). The majority of these threads and posts are going to age very poorly when Gase is coaching in the playoffs next year and the Miami **** show rolls on.

Gase didn’t care if he was fired because he’s going to get a better job. There’s a reason he’s already covered by teams who would qualify as such.

Now having said that he certainly had his issues. I also wasn’t totally against moving in from him...it just makes no sense that people here are celebrating like someone Gase and Tannembaum accounted for everything negative and someone Grier who’s been here since the Parcells regime is a proven guy and potential savior.
Of all 3 Gase is the one that had the best case to stay.
This could have gone in any of a dozen threads, sorry for that rant as it doesn’t seem to be popular opinion and I felt compelled to document my dissenting view.

Gase came into this team with the offense and defense ranking 24th and 26th respectively. He left it at 31st and 29th.

Idk what makes anyone think hes going to explode with another team.

Having a better qb will certainly help.

I have to admit, last night as I was looking to the year ahead, I couldn't fathom watching Gase on the sideline another year.

I had no desire to watch his rhetoric and another bubble screen for one more minute.

I truly felt Gase was going to be here and the only major changes would be TB, Burke and possibly another token firing.

When I checked finheaven this morning, my whole outlook changed for this team.

I'm actually looking forward to a new start.

I agree. That photo of Gase doodling and his lack of embracing the HC position was holding the team back.
Also his insecurity created the need to move Landry, Ajayi, and Phillips.
Just a bad hire.
He was over rated and Ross and Tbomb fell for it.
Hopefully they will hire someone experienced at HC and can represent the franchise.

You answered your own question...prior to asking it
