I'm so glad its premiere is August 7th because on August 8th I will be in Cancun with a few hundred friends for 5 days. What a way to start off a vacation!

Call Directv and tell them that you want to try out HBO free for a month to see if you like and if you do keep it if you don't just call back and say you don't want to keep it go dolphins!!! Can't wait to see out dolphins on hard knocks
Exactly. DirectTV will negotiate with you. Fios was having a deal last week (and may still have it) where you can get HBO for a year half price. I got it and Showtime for $14/month. Cheaper than my netflix, which I cancelled because I have no use for it now. If you just want HBO, I think it was $7/month, cancel at any time.

If you call customer service and they don't seem very responsive, ask to speak to customer retention. They're the ones authorized to wheel and deal to keep you as a customer.
