That the dolphins have been called, pathetic, losers, laughing stock, ass clowns, circus, joke , dysfunctional ,quitters and bullys. Where does this **** stop? The only way I can see for it to stop is for Ross to sell this train wreck and let somebody else try to right the wrongs that have been done. How long would it take to fix this mess ? I know that nobody wants to start all over but could it be the only way especially if Ross isn't going to make the necessary changes. Without changes we are looking at another wasted season a lot of us don't have a lot of seasons left.I am a once proud Miami Dolphins Fan now just embarrassed and remembering the good days with Don Shula as the coach.

And we needed to start another thread, why??? Please see 13,000 other threads on this forum. Same ole same ole. Posters REALLY need to STOP starting threads on the same subject over and over and over again

I understand the frustration, but don't agree with the direction.

While many are arguing to blow this team up and start over......I don't think that is a good idea. I am as disappointed as anyone that we are not playing this weekend and our overall performance the last two weeks of the season. I get all that....

But I also see a team that went to week 17 fully in contention for a Playoff spot. I see a team that beat a tough Patriots team in week 15 and left the division title up for debate for a brief time. We beat 4 of the 6 playoff teams this year head to head and contrary to many others, I saw progress by Tannehill this year, and the emergence of Charles Clay, a solid receiving core (especially with Gibson on the field to compliment Hartline and Wallace).

Do we have our issues....sure we do. Read any thread on this site and they are full of them. But I see enough optimism to NOT blow this up. Make key changes where needed (OC, GM) fix the o-line and I think we will be in a good position moving forward.

I get the frustration, but we have proven over the last 14 years, that constant turnover hasn't worked for us.

I am starting to agree with you, before Ross bought this team the Tuna had the team moving in the right direction, it looked like we had some stability and the people making decisions were football people, Sparano got us to the playoffs the only time he had a real QB, then Ross bought the team, shortly there after the Tuna decided to take his money and get he hell out of town......if you ask me it was because he didn't want to work for Ross....he spent a full year with him and didn't want the owner telling him what to do......then Ireland no longer had any loyalties to anyone but himself and things went south....

At some point you want to say Ross can right the ship, but move after move proves he doesn't have a clue about how to run a football team....I consider myself to be one of the more optimistic posters here but I need to see something from ownership that will make me feel they learned from their mistakes and have us on the right track....

We are a laughing stock, we will never get any top prospects to coach here or play here unless we grossly overpay them...we have a owner who in the first signs of bullygate ran to the league to take over the situation, we have a GM who is despised by most of his peers, we have a HC who is worried about his job in only his second yr on the job....its ok for the fans to want to fire everybody all time but its not ok for ownership to leave the fan base and it employees guessing about who will be coaching the team year to year.....

IMO for Ross to gain some respectability he has to make a statement that he will retain Philbin and Ireland and then hire a team President, take the blame for the circus atmosphere to justify hiring another level of management, only the President will have access to Ross and the President will dictate who has final say on what....Philbin picks his coaches and final say on roster, Ireland final say on draft and FA etc....or he has to start over, clean house hire a President and get out of the way let him build the team, this is would be the slowest way back to respectability because we will not have great choices to fill these positions and its quite possible what we have now would be more qualified, whoever you bring in must be given 5 yrs to succeed we have to have stability to attract better candidates...firing Philbin will make the next coach number 8 since 2000......can't win like that

You forgot to list Head Coach under key changes needed. Philbin is directly responsible for the regression of the running game (his system places no emphasis on it), and he, Ireland, and Coyle took a 3rd ranked rushing defense and in 2 seasons turned it into a 24th ranked rushing defense. Instead of coming in and building around this team's strengths and upgrading its weaknesses, Philbin destroyed this team's strengths because they didn't fit his "Master Plan". Just firing coordinators will do nothing as long as Philbin is the man in charge calling the shots.
