I was thinking the day how if these two started the year at there respective positions, how good this team could of been ....I think they would of gotten off to a better start then 1-6..any 1 agree ??

I think we would have won at least the Pitts, Tenn, and Houston games before these last two...maybe more than that.

Too bad we rushed DC in there...we would have been better off keeping Gus.

Every season is always full of 'what ifs.' If we could have beatenthe Steelers I think the momentum would have changed our season. Instead, DC let it drag him and the team down. He clearly wasn't ready to be playing.

Don't know about the Steelers, but definitely the Houston and Green Bay games if Bell had been starting at safety. We lost those games because of big plays in the passing game.

That's the truth. I really like Bell. I was wanting him to get more playing time since the (gulp) Wanny days. To bad he had bad luck with injuries.

Though I agree with you about Bell...are you crazy about Harrington???

Harrington lost his first 3 games remember? Hello? :shakeno:

with bell starting from the jump i say it could be a 2 game swing, which would mean we could be 5-4 instead of 3-6... but really there is no point to all tehse what ifs now... whats in the past is in the past, we gotta look to winning out...

Joey is definetly getting more confident, however I dont think he has what it takes to lead a team to the playoffs and win. He is a perfect example of a 2nd string QB. As for Bell, I 110% agree, he flys around the field like no one I have seen since lewis oliver. He is a great saftey.

and GB b/c of those 3, tillman alone gave up TD passes to Pitts, houston and GB. it was even in an article on Bell how tillman cost us 3 games. I told you guys he sucked last year, i got bashed.

While it's true with respect to total points scored the offense has strung together longer drives and held onto the ball longer since JH became the starter. That means the defense has been fresher.
There have been fewer sacks with fewer negative plays. That has improved our 3rd down efficiency and also provided the opportunity for more running plays. The O-line has played better but that's partly because JH gets rid of the ball quicker so defenses aren't blitzing every down like they were with DC. Longer drives allow your offense to develop a rhythm so it's no coincidence that the running game has picked up.
Negative people like you need to wake up and smell reality.
Nobody here has treated JH like a messiah, but those of us who know football realize that it's a team game and the things he has done right have had a trickle down effect on the entire team. The whole team is playing more efficiently.

Louis Oliver was a LIABILITY in the passing game. He was a hard hitter, but he had straight line speed and could not cover anyone.
Andre Reed really exposed him, among others.

For one thing we would've been much better with Bell. Harrington we may have done better since he wouldn't have been sacked so much. Culpepper should've missed this season to begin with since he wasn't even close to mobile. Without mobility, he's nothing.
