[Miami Herald] The Dolphins and the Detroit Lions have been in discussions during the weekend that could result in quarterback Joey Harrington being traded to the team in time to begin organized training activities in Miami by May 15, according to two sources. The Dolphins had pulled an offer of a 2007 sixth-round pick for Harrington off the table earlier this week after Lions president Matt Millen wrongly complained that the Dolphins had violated the collective bargaining agreement in reaching a restructured contract with Harrington.
The Dolphins were prepared to wait until Harrington gets cut by Detroit in June to sign him. However, both sides appear to have relented.
The Dolphins had originally offered a seventh-round pick this year, then offered the pick in 2007. It's unknown what the deal might be at this point.
Dolphins coach Nick Saban declined to comment about the situation until the matter is resolved.

Thanks for the info, but this is old news. Joey will be here sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.

A little old news, but it's slow, thanks.Good read:D

I hope Joey does well for us!!!!!:dolphins:

I am getting pretty sick and tired about all of this. Just get the deal done. Saban and Harrington need to go see Millen and trap him in a cage with Speilman until he accepts the deal.

Its close to crunchtime and its convenient for both parties to get a deal done soon.We need Harrington in training camp ASAP if he is going to help us to start the season. The Lions will get nothing for him if they dont accept the pick the Dolphins are offering.

True, we need to get our Backup in camp sooner than later, even if it will cost a pick!!!

Five Days In November

JH and DC are gonna have a blast this season. Miami plays NFC North. First up is Green Bay here, Oct 22. Both our QB's get to roast and toast Brett Favre after playing him (and getting beat by him) 10 times over 5 years.

But the fireworks start on November 19, when Daunte's old team comes to Pro Player Stadium. You know pepper wants to be in game shape for that meeting. Then its up to cold dirty Detroit Michigan to play the new look Lions. Can't wait to hear the fans yelling Joe-y Joe-y! :D
