Harrington's rating, 58.6. | FinHeaven - Miami Dolphins Forums

Harrington's rating, 58.6.

One thing I will not base a QB's perfrromance on is rating. I don't use numbers that I'm not sure how they are derived, to support my arguement. It seems rating weighs heavily on TD/INT ratio and completion percentage. I'd say the 2 picks and 0 TD's were the biggest reasons for the crap rating.

Harrington played well for about a quarter and a half, 1/2 the 1st and the 2nd. After that it was the same sad story for the Miami offense.

Hey, watch the game instead. You'll get a better feel for what Harrington is doing. Of course two INTs are gonna bring his rating way down. :shakeno: More rocket science from these "great" fans at finheaven.

Harrington looked a lot better than Daunte and hope Harrington starts next week too, that 2nd interception was because Wes couldn't hold onto it and it deflected off of him.

one question here......did the offense look more in sync today despite all the turnovers and such??

Yes it did. The O-line doesn't have to worry as much about JH then DC due to his knee. JH should start if for no other reason then letting DC get healthy. Maybe by now the coaches have identified DC's limitations (again due to the knee) and gameplan accordingly. DC does not have the mobility he used to have and I believe he needs more time to let the knee get stronger and him have more confidence in it. Probably why he is not stepping into his throws. Joey did not do bad at all considering the amount of time he got to play with the 1st team this season. He won't be any worse then an injured DC.

when will the excuses stop? joey threw the ball behind wes welker, into coverage. it was a bad throw, period, and it cost us. this isnt a popularity contest between daunte and joey. theyve both made mistakes. but joeys comes against a team that had 1 interception the whole year, and bruschi had it. their secondary hadnt had a single pick.

for the first have the team looked las good as advertised, then the second half hit and we sucked it up again

You know the old adage, "the more the backup plays the more you see why he was the backup in the first place."

I watched the game. I saw the 2 ints. that led to Pat TDs. I saw Brady's 2 Tds and zero pics which led to the pats margin of victory. You guys can damage control that performance all you want but the rating shows who performed better in the game and who won. Screw style points, quick releases, and sack totals. You win this game by putting points on the board and not giving the ball to the other team so that they can put points on the board.

I'd say that the 2 picks and 0 TD's were also the biggest reasons for the loss.

So, IMO, in spite of how well Joey played for most of the game, the rating fits.

Those picks were two bonehead throws. The first one, he stares down his receiver for a full 3 seconds - no surprise that Samuel jumped the route. The second was a bullet thrown way behind Welker. Wes did a good job just to get his hands on it.

Seems to me that alot of folks are totally forgetting about DC's 6 pix so far this year. Look at our first 4 games and do you honestly think that DCs play would have made a difference yesterday?

These are the kinds of reasons there were so many "drops" in Detroit, that the Joey Supporters tried to excuse.

I saw receivers slow down far too often because Joey couldn't hit them in stride.

When they slowed down and got a hand on a ball (reaching behind them to do it), all I heard was "if their hands are on the ball, it should be caught."

And then they'd start howling about "no separation, what can Joey do?"

<palm to forehead> Well, maybe if the guy could lead a receiver, the separation would be obvious.

Your math might be a bit off, C-Pep's only got 3 picks on the year, 1 more than Joey..
