I had no idea...

A 90 degree break in his leg. Its a visually nasty injury, but apparently Hartline thinks the broken leg helped him because the bone calcified and healed stronger, and all the rehab he did added strength and mobility to his ankles. Interesting story...

That was bad but not nearly as bad as the Anderson Silva leg break. Looked like a noodle I think he shattered it into shreds

Ya I saw this earlier as well. Had no idea that he had a injury like this.

bout the worse leg injury I ever saw was at work, far from a sporting event. (granted I didn't see it just the aftermath). Im second in charge on my crew, so when foreman is out, im acting foreman. I was sitting up in my office keeping tabs on my fantasy football team cause it was a Monday night (I work 7pm-7am) the phone rang "Crump get down here we got a man down!""where at?" "over in plant 8, a man down man down, ran over by a forklift" so I haul tail out to my battery operated cart (Cushman) and go into the other building, headed towards the bathroom where most injured people wind up, the guy who called me was standing in front of it, he told me "what are you doing over here, the man is down by (machine 50 yards away)" ummm you're the one that friggin called me, I figured you were with him. so I pulled up, saw the man laying on the ground, a few puncture wounds in his leg and something oozing out of the holes. I got him on my cart, took him up to first aid, did all the first responder things. being night crew, no nurses, just first responders (regular workers just trained in first aid and cpr). so it was me, security guard, 2 first responders, the guy who ran over his leg (for drug testing purposes), another foreman, the injured guy and me. not let me tell you bought this guy. Country as country can be, not the brightest in the world, mid 40's and country strong. supporting his family with the job. he says "let me walk it off, ill be fine" he walks around room with a limp while the first responders are "NO SIT YOUR BUTT DOWN!", "Ill be fine just let me walk it off I can go to hospital in the morning if it still hurts", we got him to sit, brought him to the company vehicle and took him to ER. the stuff oozing out of his leg was powedered bone and bone marrow.2 inches of his leg was pretty much powderized, and he was telling me he could walk it off. he's back to work now, but when I see accidents like this, they are gruesome but sadly ive gotten stuck seeing worse. but wishes for paul George. im a hornets fan, but hopefully hartline was correct and that George comes back stronger. maybe George was trying to play ball for THE USA, maybe he was more worried about endorsements, but who knows, he lost a season of his career trying to play for the US

I had a compound fracture of my tibia and fibula during a lacrosse game. Dirt and grass got in there so the surgeon evidently spent a couple of hours scrubbing it out. Then I got compartment syndrome, which is increased blood pressure to the muscle. Basically, if the same injury happened twenty years earlier, I probably would have had my foot amputated.

Was in the hospital for two weeks, and ended up with seven surgeries on my foot and leg. I ended up with nerve damage on my foot, so my toes clawed and had to have the joint on my big toe fused. I can imagine the pain I get is what football players describe as the pain from turf toe. It amazes me that they manage to play with that level of pain, although I imagine they have to be doped up the wazoo with pain killers.
