I"m not sure how many games Lombardi saw, but if he did, he would've seen that the offensive line was unable to generate much of a push especially at center and on the right side where the Dolphins were forced to shuffle right guards after promising rookie Donald Thomas was lost for the season in his first game. That's why they resorted to the WIldcat which Brown ran flawlessly. Remember, Brown was back less than a year after tearing his ACL. Generally, ACLs take 18 months to fully heal. WIth the addition of C Jake Grove and re-signing of Vernon Carey, the return to health of guards Justin Smiley and Thomas, plus another year of experience from Jake Long, the O-line should be much improved and Ronnie could have a career year, the one he was on his way of having before tearing the ACL when he was leading the NFL in yards-from-scrimmage. Oh, yeah, Brown still had a career-high 10 TDs last year and that's not counting the one he threw. He also had to share carries with Ricky Williams and a surprising Patrick Cobbs.
I expect the Dolphins to re-up Brown before the season starts. But, we'll see.

I have been laying low and have not given my two cents, but I think whoever thinks Ronnie will be traded is crazy. First, there is no proof to the rumor Lombardi created and second why do you create another whole for this team when you have a huge hole at CB, DT and OLB. Then there is the fact Ronnie ran the WildCat flawlessly and I think this organization loves him.
I have said this time and time again, I dont understand how some of you defend chumps like Beck, Soliai and Allen, but every year are dying to get rid of your best offensive weapon. Realize our best offensive weapon since Ronnie was drafted has been Ronnie Brown and he is not going anywhere via trade.
Makes me glad a bunch of you Mueller wannabes are not running the show and getting rid of our best players.
