Seeing Duane Brown and Aaron Donald are holding out this first week of the season for more money, which actually costs them money. I'm just curious if you ever, in recent history, know of a player holding out where it worked out well for them? I can't seem to recall any.

I think it worked out for Earl Campbell if memory serves me but generally speaking, it doesn't pay.

Do you mind recalling his situation?

I believe it was 1993 that Smith held out through training camp and the first two games of the season before signing the biggest contract for a back at the time. The Cowboys started 0-2 that season and turned things around once Smith returned. I think they won like 10 games in a row. Smith rushed for !,500 + yards and won the Super Bowl and MVP trophy that year I believe.
