We are undefated in December! 3-0 to be exact, how long has it been since that has happened?

:rawk: :woot: :thewave:

Hard not to notice. They said it after the game and in the article on the main page.

yeah i have noticed this...and then i thought...why couldn't we go undefeated in December or played this well in December when we had a record of 9-2...or 9-3...or 9-5? why

Know why i think that is...... Lack of "cold" games in December this year. We lucked out with a couple of late season west coast games. Buffalo, and NY both got their home games early in the schedule. I think Miami always suffers in December cause they usually have sub freezin/snow conditions to play in. It'll be interesting to see how well we do in Foxboro durning finale.

Im praying that next year we get most of our division games at home late in the season as well.

However i don't want to take away from the heart our guys have played with this year. I just can't remember a time when we had such a "warm" schedule late in the season.

Yeah, I was surprised. Hopefully Saban will stop the December "curse" we have had so many problems with over the years.

wont happen.

the nfl will screw us once again and we will have to go @jets and @bills in december/january.

Looks like 1985 was the last time we went started 3-0 in December. In 2001, we won 3 of 4 December games but didn't start out 3-0.

[Edited to include the following:] Sorry, I was wrong. In 1987 we won the first three games in December then lost the fourth game.

Really?? I was thinking it was probably 1972....:D

IMO, the December swoon thing is a little over-blown recently. From 2000-2004 the Phins are 12-12 in December/January games…….remember this includes 2004 when we were 4-12 overall. Not like we are tearing it up in December….but we aren’t as bad as people make it seem.

I always figured we were the odd balls in our division. Its kinda strange if you look at it... Three of the coldest weather teams in the NFL, (not including Green Bay, and Chicago) and one from the Hottest climate. We're kinda destined to falter in the winter months.

Come on sure it is. We were doing better than 500 most years only to sink in December. 50% is not great considering the great teams are looking to get on a roll not degress. We are improved this year!
