Didn't see any updates on the depth chart on the offical website. THought maybe someone had heard it somewhere that Alleman will be starting at right guard today. Does anyone know?? Sparano said at his press conference that Alleman has been pretty physical in practice and is ready to make a push for playing time.

Anyone else feel it's a little late in the season to have a toss up for a starting position for a team that has playoff asperations?

If this can improve the team then why not? This season was supposed to be a rebuilding season and the coaching staff hasn't lost sight of that. They don't have anyone on the roster to solidify that position so they will try everyone until they do.

The team has playoff aspirations? When we get out of last place in the division I'll start taking that talk more seriously.

No, I'd be more worried if we didn't make adjustments to put our best man in that spot. Since Donald Thomas is out we need the second best RG to step up in his place. Ndukwe is not getting the job done...

Being 4-4 is nice considering what we are coming from but we have a ways to go. It is still a rebuilding year and it may change this afternoon but we are still last in our own division. Putting the best people in is more important than anything. If it does not work then it does not work and the best option must be found. We really have nothing to lose by making adjustments. Coaches who I am concerned with are the ones who start players out of loyalty, seniority, or having a fear to lose complex in regards to new starters or rookies and why they don't start them and overlook new blood who can help. I have confidence in Coach Tony S. that he won't fail us like that.
