Just seeing what we have done, it is just starting to sink in how good this front office is.

most recently cutting our roster to 70, before the cutting day which was cut down to 75. this was to give us 5 roster spots because we have first dibbs on whoever we want. no worries about releasing players because we have open roster spots, and won't lose out of any players. this is something i am not i am used to as a dolphin fan recently.

Under wannstedt we drafted 3 straight lineman in 2 years in the 2-3 round. all 3 were busts. this year we drafted 2 starters, including a 6th round steal in donald thomas.

we actually drafted a good qb.

i can go on, but that's up to you guys. I am just impressed with this front office.

Sure we do.

They basically drafted 4 first round picks in Long/langford/merling/henne.... and 2 gems in the later rounds in thomas and parmalle.

In BP we trust :hi5:

I think everyone on this board, and I mean everyone is at peace with our front office.

i didnt mean we werent happy, i'm just saying did it hit any one yet.

yeah... a few months back, lol...

Seriously though, the only thing they've done so far that I really haven't been on base with was skipping on CB Godfrey at the start of round2 in the draft... when we clearly needed CB help... but then again, I'm a Hawkeye homer.... and it looks like the 2 DE's we got will prove me wrong, because they have been playing extremely well, and they allowed us to move JT for picks.... Plus, they seem to have gotten some more out of the CB we DO have, so kudos there.

I would have liked to keep Zach, but he has a REAL shot at a ring this year, and his absense has apparently woken up Crowder... so again, turned out like a pretty good move.

The last remaining thing that hasn't come to fruition has been our aquisition of Wilford.... Unless he's playing opposum... I don't know what the heck his deal is....

You can add Fasono and Ayodele for a 4th round pick.

And, the Kicker Dan Carpenter and Davone Bess as undrafted free agents. That's a great haul!

4 1st rd picks? where
get real buddy
thomas is a joke, wow he's a starter who's the competition darilek and murphy? please these guys couldn't make another nfl roster
fasano is a bum
ayodele is mediocre
davone bess won't amount 2 squat in this league..
and the tuna's free agent signings were laughable
starks? nice signing nice waste of money
mcclown? woeful?
big impact he really cleaned up on those special teamers though
whoopie doo..

I think Sparano is better than I thought he was going to be. He chews out the players when they screw up and gives them major props when they make some good plays. I thought I even saw him chest bumping out there.

I like the optimism but can we wait a LITTLE bit before we start making statements like that?

Certainly we have a very qualified front office and the situation looks good, but this team hasn't played a single game yet. It's much too early to say.

This FO works great together.....But the credit for this draft and most of the UDFA goes to Ireland......I love Parcells but his drafts are usually hit or miss were he would draft a couple of gems find a 6 rounder and a couple of UDFA but he would always have one bust in there around the 3rd or 4th round. Ireland looks like he hit on all the picks this year including 3-5 UDFA which is awesome. I like what Sparano said about Ireland....He spends all his time looking under rocks trying to find me players.....and It looks like he does this well.

read my post and THINK before you reply.

1- Jake long
2- merling was a top 15 pick if it was not for the injury
3- Langford is a first round talent, if he was playing for a big time school he would have been a first round pick
4- Henne is a first round talent, he was a top 15 pick in early mocks before the start of college season, he did not have a good year becuase he was playing with an injury all season and michigan was just flat out bad

get it??
