That the Miami Dolphins don't have a head coach now?

We were in the midst of building what we believed to be greatness and now, the chief architect has jumped ship and left all of the project to be done by someone else.

This really blows because now we're basically like we were in 2004 after the season was over, except we had more time to look for a HC candidate considering the last 7 games of the season we had a interim coach.

I know Cameron, Riveria, Whisenhut and all those guys are out there for the picking but, damn, what happened?

This is for the best.
Yeah, that.

Whatever the hell it was we were doing it certainly wasnt leading towards greatness. He was the architect of a house of cards. Strip away blind optimism and we see that Saban was neither committed nor leading us anywhere worth going. We're in the best shape we've been since we hired Saban.

but, damn, what happened?
Pretty simple. The fanbase prematurely deified Saban. After a promising first season, he made a bunch of sorry personnel decisions and brought in an incompetent offensive coordinator. As a result, the team started the season in a 1-6 hole.

Rather than stick around and live with the consequences of his mistakes, Saban bails out and runs back to the SEC, despite having a valid contract and despite Wayne bending over backwards to appease the little dictator.

So now the Dolphins are left to pick up the pieces and hopefully we won't make the same mistakes again.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Personally, I would have been fine if Saban stayed, but after reading how much he was disliked internally and the way he went about the last month....the hell with him.

Perfectly said. Short....sweet....and to the point. Well done.

What happened is our coach quit b/c he's a money hungry pu$$y. I don't give a damn what Wayne H says about it wasn't the money.

If it wasn't the money, why did Alabama feel the need to pay Saban more then he makes with us?

boy am i excited for the chance to have ron rivera or cam cameron!

It hit me on Tuesday night when I realized that there was no way he could possibly come back.

I'm more annoyed at the way he treated Huizenga than with the fact he bailed on us. After all, if he was in over his head it's best for him to leave. I thought that he could be a good NFL coach with time, but I guess I was wrong.

Oh well, he was only here 2 years. Nowhere near long enough for me to associate his tenure here as anything other than a blip on the radar screen.

This is the defining comment made on the subject. Mike Mularkey? What did he ever show at Buffalo that would interest us as Offensive Coordinator. I hated the move the instant it happened. His play calling sucks. Also, passing on Drew Brees was criminal.

This is your classic "Blessing In Disguise".....

We're much better off today, and regardless of who becomes the next head coach, I'm looking forward to our future now more than ever....

We should all be thankful that Saban left when he did, and only wasted two years of our time. It could have been much worse had he stayed in my opinion. Thanks for leaving Nick, now we can go hire a real NFL head coach. Someone who knows how to handle football at a man's level....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Look you gueys, I am quite disappointed by Gayban Sorry Saban... but I believe we are much stronger now.... Saban had 2 or 3 good picks... I sure hope Mularkey Goes for good............

Relax things will work out. Vent it out and then have fun with it. After all is just a game.
