Are there indications, positive/negative, across the country (ESPN polls, etc) that our squad is actually better/worse (due to Hard Knocks)? Hmm....I hope I phrased that clearly.

In other words, is the nation changing their (generally negative) views of our team, because of Hard Knocks? Do we have more respect (across the board) from what is showcased on that show?

Man...I hope I am being clear.

I think it is giving Philbin alot of credibility. I mean releasing CJ showing, and then giving a talking to Dansby shows that although he seems soft spoken and calm, he isnt going to put up with any BS. I think it is giving him more credibility than if HK wasnt at camp.

From a players perspective, I dont think it is negative or positive.

I know you guys will think I am bashing Miami b/c I don't like them but I am being honest. I didn't love the way Philbin came across as far as the way he communicates. he runs a crisp practice which I like but he doesn't inspire confidence when he speaks and I don't think he gets any bonus points for letting Chad go as that was the only decision to make. Now if it was wake and he released him that would be different.

As far as the perception of the Dolphins, there's only been one episode. It's hard to change in one episode. I do remember watching Cincy in '09 and thinking they had a much better team than I thought and they turned out to win the division. let's see how these next few weeks play out.

I guess its not as good as having a HC drop F-bomb after f-bomb after f-bomb and sound like a jackass. Nevertheless thanks for your opinion. Next

or The Meatball doing pressers "at the end of the day" sounding like a Continuation School flunk-out. :idk:

Im not deflecting.. Lets compare apples to apples. You question our coaches methods of communication but never questioned your own coaches methods.
Don't deflect, stick to the issue.

This thread isn't about my coach and his proven waqys, it's about your rookie HC and the team he coaches. You can question rex all you want but he's a proven success, Philbin needs to prove. I am not saying he will suck but I wasn't impressed w/ his debut on hard Knocks and I'm not patting him on the back for doing what he was supposed to do in getting rid of Chad.

Awesome, that still has nothing to do w/ Joe Philbin. Sparano failed as Dolphins HC, that chapter in dolphin history is closed. we are all trying to see what this next chapter may look like.

Damn man.. I lol'ed hard from that one..

Yes, he has proven a few things. One of them that he cant beat Miami, the other that he is a foot perve.

Philbin has an understated charm. I was reading an article someone posted here (can't remember which), where the writer said that everyone who has worked close with Philbin considers him to be a captivating figure. I don't think it's coincidence that the Packers had their worst game of the year directly after the death of Philbin's son. For a guy who didn't call plays, Rodgers and the rest of the team sure did talk up his importance to that unit.

If a proven success means 1 legitimate winning season out of 3 with no charity, then I guess Rex is "proven"

Well it would seem that the media is giving this coaching staff the benefit of the doubt for the moment and Ireland did draft a QB taking pressure off that glaring elephant and with said QB coming out of the gates strong there is reason for optimism.

But..............if this team doesn't win, don't be naive there will be criticism a plenty. Winning is the end all and only winning will put the team back in the lime light in a good way.

I have never watched a single episode of Hard Knocks before this season, and I don't know if its just typical Fin bashing from the media but every radio show i listen to and a few ESPN shows I've watched alot of people seem to be saying that after 1 episode this is already the worst and most boring season of Hard Knocks yet.

I personally really enjoyed the first episode, and being from Boston of course all the sport radio guys are gonna say it sucks because its the Dolphins. So to anyone that has watched past seasons is it really worse than other seasons so far or are people just hating cause its the Dolphins?
