Just wondering because of the way the NFL is and it appears nothing is off the table when it comes to play calling, I could see Tannehill catching a few touchdown passes given his experience as a wideout. Now I know the guy is a project and I am happy to see the organization actually heading in a different direction but the idea that our potential future qb already has knowledge of the west coast offense under his belt along with his understanding of the receiver position we certainly could be onto something here. I also like the fact that he can run which is what the qb seems to be evolving into now-a-days. The biggest area that the dolphins have lacked IMO has been the ability to successfully develop talent. We have been piss poor at that for years while other teams seem to have the magic formula. Hopefully that changes under this regime. I am excited but cautiously optimistic this year. Hopefully we can grab a talented wideout, linebacker and a safety today.

yeah because teams have never ever in the history of the NFL EVER surprised an opponent with a pass back to the qb. NEVER has that ever happened. Im not referring to the qb as the primary read. Ever heard of the half back option? Elway caught a pass in superbowl 22. So yeah it is stupid to ever think that a qb, especially one that played the wr position in college could ever be asked to sneak out into the flat and catch a pass. Obviously since he is a quarterback now that means he can no longer run and catch and take a hit especially since he has zero experience at a skill position that requires contact.

I'm not a huge wildcat fan, but I could def see a pass coming Thomas to Tannehill.
Then later in the game Tannehill checks down to Thomas for a td to return the favor!

David Woodley caught a TD pass vs the JETS.
