I wasn't ready to say it after the win against Oakland.

I wasn't ready to say if after the win against Buffalo.

But today we actually beat a contender. Trap game for the Chargers or not, our defense was stifling and the offense finally found a rhythm - and we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot with stupid undisciplined penaties.

My friends, I think we may have indeed finally turned the corner.

P.S. Ronnie's cartwheel was a touchdown!

We're nearing a bend but teh truth is, the corner hasn't been turned until a team is solidly winning consistently. We have the ability to surprise teams, but that only lasts so long. But I do have hope for next year.

I agree with that completely. We have made marked improvement this year, but I don't think we've turned the corner quite yet.

I understand what you guys are saying. And I don't believe we are going anywhere this year - even if by some miracle we make the play-offs. But 3 wins in a row is tough in this league.

This team still has a long way to go. And I foresee a lot of turnover with the roster this off-season. But I'm just saying that I think I'm starting to see that "eye of the tiger" with our team now.

you all make good points...I like to say that we're going in the rigth direction now...when we win the division then I'll say that we turned the corner.

Ozzy rules!!

I didn't mean to sound as if I disagreed, its just we haven't turned "the corner" yet. We've just finally started on the road by playing the best we can every sunday and limiting our mistakes. I think that after the Cleveland game the attitued of this team changed, and that's a change that will run into next year when we will hopefully be a legitimate playoff contender.

Today's game was turning the corner. I just got back and hadn't seen the game, but beating San Diego for our third in a row is turning the corner. I honestly didn't think this team was capable of stepping up the way they did but they proved me wrong. Holding Tomlinson to 75 yards without Traylor is a huge accomplishment and Gus Frerotte it seems had the game of his season. Props to him. I been ripping him all year long but I'll lay off for the next week. Looking at the stats I'm not sure how they did it but the scrappy SOBs did. Congrats Fins on your best game of the season.

.

hey man if we make the playoffs throw out the regular season because its the past, when you have 60 min to keep your season alive its a whole new game

For me it started in the Oakland game when our offense answered each Oakland drive late in the game on the road.

The Buffalo game showed this teams will and resilancy (sp?).

And this game showed a defense that finally did not succumb to late game drives by the oposing team.

Can the progress continue?

SD did have a late game drive but by then it was pretty much sealed

I agree 100%

and yeah I think we win out

I wonder if the Buffalo was the start of the turning point. Like the tv commentator said yesterday. "It aint perfection but I their headed in the right direction"

Beat NYJ and TENN at home, have a 5 game winning streak and then we have turned the corner.

I kind of disagree. You want to put turning the corner on winning, but I think turning the corner is an attitude. Its coming back in the bills game, being a 4-7 team. Its going into a game in SD that people are saying its going to be a route and beating them down. They went into the SD game with confidence, you can tell they felt like they were better than SD.

I think the corner has been turned, we might not be winning consistantly. Look at the difference in the attitude of this team from the past few years and its a whole new team.
