I would think this urgent and they woukd be bringing in guys for look see or else putting together some trade proposal.

Just wondering if there have been any local stories on progress made.
My main fear heading into 2018 was OL depth.

Apparently Miami inquired with other teams after Sitton went down, and they did work out Jahri Evans at some point.

However it appears that the team has decided to roll with Larsen and hope for the best.

Think we should leave Larsen in for now. He’s no slouch and knows the scheme. Was up and down Sunday but his blocking on the Drake touchdown stood out to me.

If Larsen gets banged up or he craps the proverbial bed the next few games maybe try and pull the trigger on a trade. But I believe we’ll be crossing our fingers that the line keeps Tannehill’s jersey clean for at least 14 (hopefully more) weeks

thanks- Larsen makes me nervous but what really makes me nervous is what happens when (and not if) the next guy goes down.

I'll have to google now but someone signed a veteran guard yesterday and i was wondering hiw good that guy was and if we tried to get him. I'll post it here if anyone has comments on that.

Imay be confused- LG fir Falcons LevItre was placed on IR fir the season. I thiught i read of a signing.

A bit surprising that the Phins decided to roll with Larsen for the foreseeable future, I'm not the coach so what the hell do I know, but IMO this is an urgent situation that needs to be remedied immediately.

my feeling exactly- very urgent. We're passing a hot potato every play hoping it doesnt go off on THill.

im sure Gase and FO are sorting it out

Where'd you hear this? This would be news to me that we inquired about OL from other teams.

A big **** no to trading for one right now. A panic move like that would cost a ton. Larsen has experience with this line, unlike any free agent left out there and I have no reason to believe any of them would be better.

I think we all wish we could have a better option than Larsen at LG. Problem is there is a serious lack of OL talent across the league.

My thoughts exactly..

I believe it was either Armando Salguero or Barry Jackson who reported that when Miami left Sitton's roster spot open, they were going to work the phones to see what was out there. And it makes sense, I figure you always want to have a look around and see if you can pick up someone you've had your eye on previously.

And yeah, I do share the OP's concern about the depth. Larsen isn't great but we can survive with him. What happens if Kilgore goes down before Brendel comes back? What happens if Davis goes down? Heck, what happens if Larsen goes down? The interior of the OL is gonna be in trouble.

Or worse yet, what if Tunsil gets hurt? We're in deep ****.

Any OL player worth a damn is actually getting play time - that's going to be your problem.

From what I read, they're rolling with Lasen and with Travis Swanson as the primary backup interior lineman and maybe Brendel gets added when he returns

Asiata would get brought up if more injuries there and they signed Swanson. Yup, it’s not a pretty picture of depth.

The same thing is going to happen if a CB goes down etc
