I tired looking but couldn't seem to find anything. I’m assuming no one has ever done that. Maybe being fresh off a bye week Jay has a chance? The Jets have a tough defense and I can only assume they will focus all of their attention on shutting the run down. But had you asked me what his chances were to do it against the Bills, I would have said next to none. Here’s hopping Jay and the O line can set a positive record!!

Never been done to my knowledge.

The Bills focused all their attention on shutting him down as well, and we see how that turned out. If Jay doesn't have a big game, i fully expect Tannehill to take that role instead.

296 yards is the single game rushing record.

Jay Ajayi should aim to be the first RB to get 300+ rushing yds in a game. :)

No 3 consecutive 200 yard games has never happened. But I'd be ok if he just gets 100 against the Jets. The Jets are a team you can pass against. We have to be a team who adjusts their gameplan according to the opponent. Now that we established the running game teams are gonna really sell out to stop it. Bombs away Tannehill

there won't be

I agree, I don’t think he will be able to do it against the Jets. For that matter, I don’t know if he will do it again the rest of the year, 200 yards doesn’t come often. But I love that fact that this game comes off a bye. The pounding of all those yards takes a toll. That seems to be an obvious reason you would see a drop off the follow week. But in this game we will be rested and you know everyone one of those Olinemen will want Jay to get that record. It sucks we will play such a good run defense, but how sweet it would be to steam roll the Jets like that.

It would be great, but I think we'll see a little more sharing the load against the Jets. Got to make sure Jay Ayaji is healthy for the year. Not sure he can continue to carry 25 plus times a game and stay productive.

The Jets will be a big challenge. Should see a lot of play action IMO.

I don't care if he gets 50 yards as long as we beat the stinking jets. I agree that he might never again top 200 yards but that's not a bad thing. We can do some things just off of him being back there now. But you still have to run him 20 times. You can't lose a game now and look back and see you gave him 15 touches

Ozzy rules!!

Against that Jets D-line? Extremely doubtful, but if he gets over 100 (Which is possible if Ajayi is for real, with good bocking), that in itself should be viewed very well.

I will say this, though again it will be very doubtful, if Ajayi does happen to get #3 against the Jets, we might have to start believing we could have a rare elite RB, that comes out very rarely on our team.

David Johnson from the Cards demolished the Jets Defense on Monday night football, the Jets linebackers are lacking.

Jets have a good run defense. I have a feeling Jay gets about 80-90 yards rushing. Maybe as a team 110 TOPS. I think we expect them to try and stop the run, which they will be focusing on, and this is a game where Tannehill is the guy. I have a feeling DVP will have a good game. Maybe 5 catches for 90-100 and 1 TD.

Gase is committed to running now. If the O-Line does its job in the blocking schemes we are instilling I say Ajayi by himself can rush for 150+ a game. They will keep feeding him 23 - 26 carries a game. But, opponents will sell out to stopping him. So far 9 in the box and he runs for 200+. It is all about blocking and vision to find the hole. Jay is a strong bull runner so if he finds the hole he is gone to the next level and even into the secondary level. Averaging 7.9 ypc that is insane and the O-Line is making that happen. So is Coach Gase play calling. Do your assignment and things will go right, it is all about execution. Those Play-Action passes will work a whole lot better with proper execution in selling the run and passing intermediate to mid-range 15 - 25 yards down field every time also receivers will be more open. They'll move the chains. I just love watching proper execution on the O-Line these last 2 weeks and they are having fun. GO DOLPHINS!!!

I think two is so difficult and even more so for three is because defenses will sell out to stop the very hot back and make the team throw.

its never happened before. There's only a 4 that did two in a row.
Earl Campbell, OJ, Ricky and Jay.

Jay would be in a club of his own if he does this again.
hey... records are meant to be broken.
